Wander
I wander these desolete pathways
Searching for an Internal Flame
From a light that was once extinguished
And put out by its own day
With light bred in darkness
That fell from the heavens above
And a mountain uncharted
Screaming amidst the hating love
Contradictions line every corner
As a rose shaded blue and torn
Wind that creaks and howls and moans
In its bed of shadowed thorns
Losing the touch of the ocean’s feel
For the fire’s burn
Still just longing for fantasies that are real
To ease this inner turn
Rainbows dark and rainbows grey
On the edge of what none can know
A soul alone wandering deathless trails
With no solace to be told
The Black Bridge is such a lonely thing
To trace with hands a-cut
Without, there is just a Void
But with, there is too much
To choose one would be so simple
Like Life’s dying grasp
And to listen to the children
With voices echoing throughout the last
A road that’s no less followed
Than what once was won
A sun that’s no less hallowed
To sing a cry among
If they hold me I will be parted
With an imperishable doubt
Destiny is such a tale
That forces the wind to blow in its silence
The silence is slowly killing
All that we were once was tortured for
And it be but a memory
Of the Inward War
