Alethia
My note- alethia is one of the Latin words for "truth,” while the most common Latin word for truth is “veritas.”
They call her Alethia
I think I might see what it means
She sees past their petty lies
On the truth she feeds
Her hair is dark- as black as night
Her eyes shimmer- like the ocean reflecting the new sun's light
There is ageless beauty within her face
With hidden twists and signs of a higher grace
She has hands marked with death and sin
Yet spins of light somehow circle in
Silver stains etch her cheeks
They are tears of misunderstood purity
Full of day- conquering night
Within my soul, Alethia moves
Chipping away the stones until my heart remains smooth
She's always there, she never leaves
And it has been told,
You can hear her sing
In the whispering of the wind-torn leave
<--- fall into my patterened tears... [return]
<---<--- catch me as i fall? [AA]
