Lovin' Ev'ry Minute of It!
A "pre-debut" photo of the SVX.  Looks just like mine, except my wheels are on correctly (for those who know).
SVX Owners have been proven to be "quirky," eccentric, fanatical and just plain fun!  On April 1st, 2000, 23 SVXes Gathered in Reading, PA.  This was the largest Gathering of SVXes in the United States, and possibly the North and South American continents.  The owners are always looking for opportunities to gather.  All, but a few pictured above, are members of the SVX World Network ,one of the most active group of SVX owners in the world.
Subaru SVX is "the forgotten car."  Introduced in August, 1991, this sleek machine is the PERFECT blend of sport and luxury.  Only 25,000 of these beauties were produced in a five year model run, from '92-97.  In 1997, the car was discontinued -- what a loss.
A second look at the SVX at the '29th (I believe) Tokyo Auto Show, 1990.  Still a concept.
The prototype SVX had "voice activation" and on-board navigation (screen is shown in lower right picture), but not the production model.  Notice, also, that the spoiler and wheels changed from the prototype to production.

Group photo of (most) of the owners in attendance at the Vermont Meet, Sept. 30, 2000.  We were atop Mt. Philo, near Shelburne/Burlington.  25 Cars showed up, breaking the previous Reading record.  Photo courtesy Kathy Printsos (ekprintsos)
My Pearly baby against a sea of SVXes at Burlington Subaru during the VT Fall Foliage Tour.  Oh, they also sold Hyundais.  Photo by Seth "tat2skullz".
The legendary SVX Twin-Turbo Police Interceptor? NO!  Sorry to say, it doesn't exist.  But, this masterfully done computer graphic enhancement looks pretty darned good!
This photo was taken outside Cass, West Virginia during "Snowshoe I."  If you look closely, the structure, just to the right of the barn, furthest to the right, is the world's largest Radiotelescope, located in Green Bank, West Virginia.
The SVX World Network
You'll generally find me hanging around the SVX World Network.  If you're seriously looking for information about this magnificent automobile (including such things as "how-to's"), as well as developing a relationship with people who own one -- or wished they did -- this is the place to be.  You'll also find a veritible "treasure trove" of information about the SVX at John Rowe's magnificent SVX site.  If you have any questions about "The Network" or this site, feel free to e-mail me.
