Please read my petition to LucasArts. If they do what I asked for I will be able to determine 
losses correctly 100% of the time. All you need to do is to email me !!! Please help! Also 
you will be able to use missiles then !
Do not complain about Decoding which ships died until you email me that you  want to 
sign petition.

Legalize: Remember - you are using SXWA at your own risk. If it contains a virus, crashes your 
machine or nails your HD that is your problem.

Installation: (CHANGE HERE)
Delete all SXWA files if you have them. Unzip the zipped files into folder XWA folder where you 
installed your Xwing Alliance. It must be inside XWA folder and no other place will do. Zip file 
contains directories so use -d unzip option.
For example c:\games\XWA\

WARNING: DO NOT USE MISSILES. MISSILES change value of the ship and I will not be able 
to detect which ships were killed ! Once we decode ship files this problem will disappear.

If you have a hacked version of XWA then you might experience problems with SXWA. 
Specially with decoding score.
If you want more working ships help me add them to SXWA.

Please play my XwingAlliance.exe
It was hacked to add 3 more ships. This also means if you install SXWA right it will overwrite your 
own XwingAlliance.exe. If you want to add ships to it see end of this file.

Warning about ships prices:
If you have ships that cost the same amount (like Awing and Ywing) then my DecodeScore 
program will not be able to figure out which of these got killed. DecodeScore will just pick one of 
possible results

The game:
So basically:
1. Run getScore.exe
2. Run SXWA.exe
3. Select sides/prestige points
4. Select (left click) sector with your ships. Press Purchase button to buy ships you want. 
Ships will move to your sector next turn
5. Press Next Turn. Now Ships you purchased will appear.
6. To attack enemy sector: 
a) select the sector under your control.
b) Right click on sector which you want to attack. 
c) Dialog will appear asking you which ships you want to use in attack. Choose wisely
d) Do 6a) again if you want to attack with more then one fleet.
7. Skirmish Mission will be generated. - Switch to XWA, load skirmish mission if you don't see it 
then go "back to concourse" and then back into combat simulator. Do not change any ships, 
their number or equipment. You can select main target if you want to.
8. Fly skirmish Mission, kill enemy craft.
9. Press "Print screen" key (it is a key on your keyboard !) on Skirmish mission which contains 
team scores and kills (Not the screen that is automatically shown) Make sure that the results 
are not covered by the "hand" mouse pointer !!!
10. Check that getScore.exe shows the score and kills correctly if it does not email me the bitmap 
(must be bitmap .bmp and 24 bit color !!! - zip it please). If you have driver problems see 
11. Go back to UI. The number of ships you have will be decrement by your losses. 
DecodeScore program is responsible for decoding the results. It might take a while to run. It 
does not hang ! But on slow machine it will take up to 5 minutes (In the worst case !!!). 
Decode score does make mistakes! This is partially the fault of errors in shipinfo.txt file. Your 
prestige (and empires) will be affected by mission results. If you have killed any friendly ships 
yourself there is a good chance that losses will be wrong because you are penalized 300 
points for every friendly ship you kill. Maybe you should replay the mission? I desperately 
need help with decoding the film file. Then there will be no mistakes!!! WARNING: DO NOT 
USE MISSILES. MISSILES change value of the ship and I will not be able to detect which 
ships were killed ! Once we decode ship files this problem will disappear.
12. Got to step 4.

Remember you can split your fleet and control multiple sectors !!!

Give AI a chance to resist!
Ai is an idiot so give it a chance! Give Ai much more prestige ! It does not make any sense to play 
with Ace pilots against novice pilots !!! So give AI same pilot skill as yourself!

Rules:
1. Resource producers:
? Platforms produce 300 resource points per turn.
? Rebel Platform produces 600 resource points per turn.
? Golan One produces 600 resource points per turn.
? Golan Two produces 900 resource points per turn.
? Golan Three produces 1050 resource points per turn.
2. Cargo base 1 decreases number of turns before your purchased ships are delivered by 1. 
Cargo base 2 by 2.
3. If you see F12 beside a starship/station name in purchase dialog it means it has storage for 
12 fighters.
4. Ship yard decreases price of starships by 10% (but never more than 50% in total). Pirate ship 
yard decreases prices by 2 percent (but it is much cheaper !)
5. Factory decreases price of fighters by 10% (but never more than 50% in total)
6. Derilyn Platform decreases station prices by 10%
7. Industrial Complex decreases shuttle/light transport/utility craft prices by 5%
8. Imp Research Center generates 1 research points, Imp Research Ship generates 2 points
9. You can no move ships without hyperdrive unless they are moving together with ship capable 
of carrying fighters!
10. Hyperdriveless fighters will die if sector has no fighter storage capacity.
11. Your fighters must be stored and maintained when not in use or they will stop flying. If you 
dont have enough storage for the fighters in the sector they are in then you will loose 10 
points per each fighter that you cannot store.
12. Starships use up Maintenance points equal to their price per turn. 
13. Repair yard produces 100000 repair points per turn. Family repair yard produces 33333.
14. You should produce enough maintenance points or you will loose (MaintenancePointsUsed - 
MaintenancePointsProduced)/10 prestige per turn.
15. Sides:
? Empire:
? Must produce all prestige by itself!
? Must produce research!
? Get a lot of prestige points on the first turn!
? Pirates:
? Get some free prestige
? Get some free research (2 points)
? Have some prestige at the beginning
? Rebelion:
? Get a lot of free prestige
? Get free research (5 points)
? Get very little prestige at the beginning


"Other ideas:"
1. When research points reach a certain amount older ships should also be upgraded (ie. add 
beam weapons to tie better missiles countermeasures etc....)
2. Freighters will produce platform maintenance points
3. Ability to capture enemy ships/bases even SuperStarDestroyer and use them for your 
benefit!!!
4. Better AI. Lets call it BrainDeadAI!
5.  AI will purchase new ships for its bases
6.  You will be able to play against your friend who will control the opposide side.

	Any additional ideas welcome !!!

ADVANCED USERS ONLY:
Adding your own ships/removing ships:
See my shiplist.txt file. If you dont want a ship  remove it from this file and all entries with same 
ship number.
You cannot remove any special stations/ships  those that are mentioned in the rules.
