The Saratoga Lights

OK! The Saratoga lights are located on a small road, about 7 or 8 miles
long, just west of Silsbee, TX. I've always wanted to go see them and
finally got my chance last summer. I group of us took two cars, the
braver group in the first and the chickens in the second. I was in the
second car. We found the road and it was pretty spooky. We had just
had a good bit of rain so both sides of the small road were knee deep
with water, some places probably deeper. There where no turn offs, just
a straight shoot. I drove with my windows up and doors locked. I've
always had this fear that being this place is so popular, that the
locals could find fun in waiting for a group like us to come along and
really scare us or do harm, so I was really scared. We made the full
length of the road without seeing anything. We turned at the end to go
back. After about two miles, we saw a light coming in our direction.
We thought it was another car but the one light never turned into two
headlights. It had a bluish glow and seemed to be getting closed. Just
when we felt it was about 59 yrds. from us, it went to the left. We
waited for it to possibly turn around, which was impossible because it
was a one lane dirt road with a lot of water on both sides. The light
disappeared in the trees. A few minutes later we saw one again down the
road coming towards us. Even though we kept driving in it's direction,
we never could catch with it. It also had the faint blue glow.
Eventually it went to the left also and was lost in the trees. Once
more, we saw a smaller ball of light in the trees on the right and could
see that it was above water because you could see it's reflection in the
water. It didn't move. After a few minutes it faded and disappeared.
It really scared is. Even the braver ones in the first car who were
sitting on the hood and laughing and having a grand ole time, were back
in the car with the windows up and doors locked! When we got home. We
all tried to come up with explanations for what we saw but because of
all the water, couldn't see how someone in a car or on foot would go
through so much trouble to spook a few people. These have been around
for many years. I used to hear about them when I was young and I'm a
grandmother now. If you'd like, I can look up the actual story of the
Saratoga lights and post them for all of you. As for me, I'm a
