Cornerstone... 

I found out about cornerstone from a friend before the summer of 2000.  He came to me saying that there was a huge Christian concert that was coming to Illinois the week of July 1st and that we needed to go!  In time we slowly put some plans together and we made it all happen.  So what exactly is cornerstone....

Cornerstone is a HUGE Christian festival, sorta like a big woodstock.  Its been going on since 1983, yet almost nobody knows about it.  The concert happens each year during the first week of July and lasts about 4-5 days, has 300 bands, and brings in almost 30,000 people!  People from all over come to celebrate and have a good time.  Cornerstone is held in a small town called Bushnell, Bushnell is located in Illinois and is about 4 hours from Chicago. Bushnell is a small town where nothing except this event takes place.  The nearest good sized town is about 20 minutes away, at 70mph.  In town you will find quite a bit, specifically air conditioned buildings, which are nice since C-stone takes place on a big farm in the hot sun.  Every time I have been to C-stone its been 90+ degrees, sometimes even 100 as normal (hottest i remember it was 104), plus humidity, solid sun and fun!  This is definitely the place to go for a great time, there is plenty more to do than just see concerts, but ill let you check it out for yourself at Cornerstones Official Website.
