This is the latest news that you will not hear about yet in the media. 

Apparently, reconnaisance satellites have discovered a major missile base in the centre of Saudi Arabia about 500 kilometres south of Riyadh.


What is disturbing is that this information has previously been swept under the carpet by intelligence.  The US government has in the past put pressure on Israel (who knew about the base) not to disclose this information.

Apparently, this base has missile launchers, a complex system of approach roads, command centre, residential areas, a mosque for the engineers and staff and bunkers.  There are 33 buildings in the support area. 

Another disturbing thing is that Saudi Arabia had promised then denied the US an inspection of the site.  The base is called the Al Sulayyil Missile Base.

They have a huge staff of Chinese workers installing about 120 CSS2 Dong Feng-3
missiles and at least 12 launchers.

Each one of these missiles can carry at least 3 warheads.  They are capable of carrying Nuclear, Biological or chemical warheads.  CSS2's have a range of about 3,500 kilometres.  This means that from deep within Saudi Arabia, they can reach Libya, Greece, most of Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and portions of India.

Another factor:

Saudi Arabia has very quietly funded the nuclear project in Pakistan.  This is disturbing because Saudi Arabia had signed the non-proliferation treaty but apparently, that doesn't mean a lot.  Treaties are just paper to them.

The Saudi's have invested in the neighbourhood of a billion dollars in Pakistan's nuclear program and the latest word is that Pakistan in response to that investment has provided the nuclear warheads for Saudi Arabia.

CSS4's are also available and would allow Saudi Arabia to reach all of Europe because they have a 5,000-mile range.

China is providing the missiles to Saudi Arabia (have been since 1987), Pakistan the warheads.  We have a cloud on the horizon in the Middle East, which is a caldron ready to boil over anyway.

Clearly, Saudi Arabia, which has an incredible PR program in the West and in Europe, is not to be trusted.  You would think they would be grateful for Dessert Storm but it is clear they are very duplicitous in their dealings at the strategic level.  You will want to keep your eye on them.
