Basic Info: A car bomb detonated outside the local police headquarters building in Rijeka, killing the driver and injuring 29 bystanders. The Egyptian al-Gama'at al-Islamiyya claimed responsibility, warning that the attacks would continue unless autorities released an imprisoned Gama'at militant, Tala'at Fuad Kassem, who had been arrested in September 1995.
