| EXAM TIPS | |||||||||||||||||
| For the Listening Exam, I advise you to go through important but simple vocab like weather, clothes, numbers, food, doctors' of which most can be found in the "Basics" section. It's better to get a lot of practice in, so ask your teacher to schedule it in a couple of lessons. Listen out for key words. Remember, before the exam you are given 5 mins to read, so read the booklet and guess what might come up and do some quick translations. Learn the vocab!!! |

| For the Speaking exam, the best thing to do is get your answers completed to the best of your ability, get them checked, re-write them, get them checked again if there were lots of mistakes. Then sit down and learn them!!! Try to insert complex vocab, and don't make the answers too short. Keep going over them till the exam. | |||||||||||||||||
| For the Reading exam, you should again be familiar with simple vocab listed in the listening section above. Make sure you know how certain words look like written down and again do lots of practice papers. Remember that now dictionaries aren't permitted in the exam. | |||||||||||||||||
| For the Writing exam, learn lots of simple vocab. For the first question, you'll be asked to list 5 items like food, drink, picnic, school and household items etc. Make sure you know some! Also, practice the short notices by heading over to the "Reading & Writing" Section and also be familiar with common verbs. For the last question write & get checked either a story, description of a film, a school trip or an average school day. Then learn it! | |||||||||||||||||
