My Literacy memoirs

I was born on 5th of april 1997 ,.at that time  I lived with my family in Palembang city. my father was an enterpreneur and my mother Was a civil servant, i have one sister and one brother . My brother and my sister were elementary students at that time and I was in the kindergarten

Well I’m going to tell you about my literacy memoir

First that I know about English

Study is an activity that usually people do to get knowledge that they can do it  from the first time they understand about something around them , and same with us that can read the book , write , and do something well  of course they can do it with process of learning  in the beginning time .

 

The first time that I know how to read

Well , I could speak english now although it’s not fluently yet because I have learned about english and I could learn english because I had learned how to read before I learned about english.

The first time I learned how to read it was when I was 4 years old with my father . At that time around 19.00 o’clock , my father asked us to did not turn on the television because my father asked my brother and my sister to studied , well when they studied, I didn’t want to play anything because I felt bored , so I just saw them . In my mind , I asked to my self , what for they study ? what is homework ? what is task ? , and I took my sister’s book and I just saw the picture even I did not know what that picture’s mean is . I have big willingness to could read that book . I told to my father , and my father said I have to asked to my brother or my sister one paper and a pen or a pencil but at that time they didn’t give me any tools because they busy with their own job , I want to cried at that time but I saw a pencil in the glass so I took that pencil but I didn’t have any paper , then immediately I just told to my father and with my father’s creatively my father took the paper in the his cigaratte box, i was really happy at that time and I learned how to read with knowing about the latter first and continued until I could read with my father , really I felt so spirit at that time to could read and my father also with his spirit to teach me , and after I knew about latter then time by time my father taught me until I could read and also with the way to wrote . it’s so interesting because I learned something new in my life and also  because of that I could understand what’s the meaning of the picture in my sister’s book that I have seen before .

I have 15 nephew and cauzin , one of them is Dwi , Dwi is my sister that one years old than me , so at that moment when I could read , this my sister hasn’t could yet to read any book , with my proud to my father that have taught me the way to read and wrote . I’m very proud with him, because of him I was so spirit to study.

 

A princess in a kindergarten

Five years old I got my kindergarten in Aisyah kindergarten , I was so happy in my kindergarten because I was a great child at that time . Different with the other , I was the only one person that can read , knew much about number and accounting for kindergarten and also might memorize of al-qur’an verse . I was so proud that has mother as an ustaza. So in the kindergarten I felt that kindergarten was mine . but at that time as far as i thought it haven’t had english lesson yet .

 

The first time that interested to english

Continue to my elementary school , I was a great student too because I always got the first rank , and I got the best score in my english lesson than the other because at that time I entered at Hasanah course . In Hasanah course I and my friend learned many things about english not only the grammar but also listening , speaking , and also games or song about english and because of that I started to comfort with english , I like english song at that time , actually I have heard about english song from my sister that usually played the song in her bed room but I still don’t understand and because I didn’t understand the language then I just ignored it . the first song that make me comfort with english is ten little indian ,

 I have known it from my course , it’s the first I knew about english song before the other song just like my baloon , I haven’t known it yet in english, so little indian song is the song that make me comfort in english.  I like that song  because it’s interesting and my teacher in my course asked I and my friend to coulds sang that song and also memoryze it surely. and I proud I could sang that song in front of my friend because I have learned that song in my course so I could easier sang that song in front of my teacher and my friends , when my teacher told about that song and teached us I was very comfort I try to understand that song and I effort to could sang it because most of my friend only memorize it and they didn’t try to understand that song because I think they haven’t comfort yet and they only knew about that song and just it. And then in my course , my teacher told me the other song with different style. I love song so I  was very comfort with english  and also I got second winner in my course then I got schoolarship with free paid for two month and I got sertivicate from that . it’s also make me spirit to comfort with english . In my house my brother and my sister usually turning the song , I still remember the title of song that mostly my sister always turn is Don’t cry . and the title of song that mostly my brother always turn is my love from westlife . I could sang that songs because I always heard that song every day . even I don’t care with the meaning of that song but I just want I could sang that song first.

 

Full of feeling in rivalry

Next continue to my junior high school . in this time I just released competition between students was starting , I felt so hard to got the first rank , and my english score was so bad , I got seven in grade seventh , I was so dissappointed with my self . and I didn’t  get top ten . because of that I study hard and I entered in British college . In british college also taught me many thing about english and also in this moment I learned listening and the other. I met again with don’t cry song . because my teacher’s very like with this song and my teacher make this song yo became examination of listening so the lyrics of this song are put in a paper and there are some word was blank and I and my class friend must filled it with the right words. Then I got igh score at that time because I have known that song . and also many thing of english just like deepen of grammar so when I was in grade eleventh I got high score and my confidence was back. Finally I got third general rank from under top ten.

 

When the victory is light

Continue until grade nineth . I always went to my course with my best friend , her name is Olivia wisepti pratama , my course was not too far from my school so we only take about 15 minutes to arrived in my course. I always got seconf rank in  my course because the first rank is Olivia.it was difficult for me to got the first rank because olivia is clever student ,but I still tried and di the best that I could , so it was in final examination in british and with suprised apparently I got the first rank , oh it’s so amazing for me because I can got the first .moreover at that time I also joined any compitetition in english such as speech , scrabble , and story telling , I was so happy when I got first winner in story telling competition in junior high school level in lahat city , I got full schoolarship to study in one of course in lahat city and also trophy but I didn’t take that schoolarship because I focused on my UN and for tested in senior high school .

so when I tested in my senior high school at SMA N Sumatera Selatan , I interested with english in this school , I want my english better.
and also my target  is can speak english fluently, I hope I can reach it in this school.

Well , Alhamdulillah I was been a student of SMAN sumsel  since August of 2012 so it has been around 7 month  I lived in my beloved dormitory. In this bording school every day every time and every where we have to use english , actually I really want to speak english every time even in my room but always there are many temptation that come to me for example many people speak in indonesian language to me and sure it’s purposely or not I respon them with indonesian language too. And the other example is if I want to tell something that so exited for me and I use english to tell that story to my friend then the sense that I feel is not same with my feeling in .I don’t know why so because of that I speak Indonesia with them however I still try to can tell that story with english even there is some word still use indonesian language because I don’t know .

 

Disappointment

Okay , I will tell you my experience J in this school , did you know spy system in my school, ya there is spy system in my school , the one who become spy will take note of the name that known speak Indonesian, and every Saturday those name will mention in front of all of student after we have gyme together . and how the feel if our name that mention by spy ? I have felt it , surely it so shame for me , although many other name are mention but it still make me really don’t like that moment. My name is mention also with the other name and the spy asked us to go infront of all of people and after gathering is finish the teacher give us punishment , at that time our punishment is put off the wild grass in front of building G , and how do you think if we are the one who become spy ? I also have tried it J, I become spy at that time and also the other my friend that their name are mention by spy too . we were become spy only in a week at that time as our punishment. Buy the way , become spy also challenge me , why ? because it is challenge me to become the one who secretly looking for the people speak indonesia just like intelegent tim looking for evil secretly . we have to submit three or more name and after that we shall not become spy again .and I done it.

 

It was repeated again

next some week i was suprised with announcement from spy again , oh no my name mention again by them , and this situation was different wit the previous one , because this time my name was mention with the other name that  most of the people that mention  was all from my class , so all of X4 students were given punisment by spy . of course the punishment was different with the previous one because impossible all of x4 class and also the other name that mention will becomw spy and also the student council of my school have exchanged , so the punishment was we have to made an arrticle each person , the theme was free and also we have to made it with 500 words and submited it 2 days latter .

oh it’s so lame . at that time we still have our examination on Monday and also many project that we must done in that time , so don’t know what was the first that we must done . study or make project and also do that punishment .

After we have gymed together and breakfast , I went to the dorm and my plan was I want to directly make that task of punishment but when I was seeing the room oh it’s not really good for did that . and I didn’t think that my roomate also involve in this so she also must do it . and actually we want to cry at that time but we just think the other we think that there was no many time for crying so we only silent and did that we could do . we directly cleaned up our room and after that we done that task. That task was annoyance for us . but it was also our false because we have spoken bahasa . I hope I will not speak bahasa again .

Try hard to be better

Up until now is processing that learning english and speak english fluently and after that I plan that I want to go to another country and can learn something there with my ability in english. Because english is international language so I think this ability is very good for people to have this ability . because now a day many jobs that have relation with english and also this is so important for communication if we go to another country , says for example go to japan . although japan are not use english but because we can’t speak japan language so we can use english . because english is International language . and also most of electronic and the other equipment are  use english for instructions so I think we need to understand in speak english because it’s so important for our careers,our jobs,and our lifes.

But because of that, what the important is that we can communicaton with the language that we have now.  What ever the language provided that is polite and can accept in the society is the first thing that important of language in our life.
