About Me

Hello, my name is April Diaz and I am part of the founding class at ITW David Speer Academy. I am 16 years old. My hobbies consist of playing softball, hanging out with friends, running in community races. I love to help people out, and give advice. My favorite sport to play is softball but my favorite sport to watch is basketball and football. My goal is to get into the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I love water, which explains why I love swimming so much. Other things I do during my free time is to read.

One of my goals is to get into a good college and make my parents proud because they have gave me the world and made sure I was always okay. They support me and my choices and are there to pick me back up every single time I fall down.

Career Interest

Although I am very interested in marine biology, I am also interested in the law. I would like to be a cop one day also. I know it is not in the STEM area, but I think cops play a very important role in today's society and are often seen as bad people but I disagree because in my opinion they are doing their jobs. I would like to help keep our city safe and minimize the violence going on. Another career that interests me is counseling because as I have said before, I love to help people out, and counselers help people.

Stem Major

I chose Marine Biology as my STEM Major because I've always loved the ocean and the animals in the ocean. My favorite hobby as a young girl was swimming because I really loved the water which explains why marine biology has my attention. I love learning about the things that go on in the ocean, and new discoveries being found
