Frore's Keep

The passage has been changing for some time now, slowly shifting from the undecipherable heiroglyphics that fill many of the passages to obscure images of winged beasts which swiftly evolve into grander designs until you turn down a corridor and enter the final stretch of your trek. The hall is long and lit by unnaturally burning torches which dot the walls at regular intervals so that light is faint but complete. The grand design shows dragons of all sizes and hues on a backdrop of frozen tundra rising high into the mountains of an eternal winter. Nestled in these high cliffs is the shadowy blott of an ancient stronghold carved into the face of a large mountain, the fabled Frore's Keep.

At last you surmount the ascending stone stairs, climbing out of the Aphotic Labyrinth and into the winter world which surrounds Frore's Keep. It will take another hour to traverse the steep and chilled terrain to the actual Keep, but time passes swiftly as you work your way higher and higher into the mountains and before long the hour is up and your are standing before the massive iron gates which slowly swing open to reveal Frore's Keep, Haven of the Twilight Tempest.

Although war had once ravaged these stone walls, those times have long passed to make way for a more peaceful era. The vast courtyard is no longer filled with objects of war, but now contains a vast garden of lush and colorful flowers which are oddly untouched by the frosty winter which encompasses it. With no gardener present, you move on to the Keep itself. The doors part easily despite their height and weight, and you are finally admitted into Frore's Keep by a smiling hostess. She introduces herself humbly as Raesira and directs you to follow her through the beautifully crafted Keep, up a flight of stairs and finally into an expansive library with bookshelves which stretch from floor to ceiling and various tables placed strategicly throughout the room for visitors to sit comfortably while they scour the many tombs present.

With a gentle bow, Raesira excuses herself and leaves you to the library and the wealth of novels scattered about. Now, where to start?
