The greatness and the glory of God cannot be imagined by anyone, but it CAN be tried, by dwelling on the reflection of St.Thomas Aquinas, who, although was one of the greatest writers of all time, and a Doctor of the Catholic Church, as well as one of the greatest thinkers of all time, when having been graced with a vision of Heaven said 'burn all my books, for all that I have written is but straw when compared with the glory of God.'

Often, writers have likened all the beauty and awe of the best images and words imagined by humans, to only a drop in the ocean, the ocean that is Heaven. At a catechism class at St.Mary's, for our choir, some groups were asked a question as to why God made the universe. One of them answered beautifully "to express Himself." Well, if He made the universe, this universe that we haven't even been able to map half of, this universe that we hold in so much awe and wonder, consider how great and mighty is the Heaven that He has prepared for us. One can only wonder at what even the most trod and worn out road in Heaven must be like: laden with glory and light more than a thousand suns, overflowing with love, peace, giving a soothing touch to our feet. Where every corner we turn will hold countless new expanses of soul-shifting scenery, where rivers of peace and joy flow as if without end or beginning; where sounds of a trillion angels sing out harmonies that the greatest composers in humanity could only dream of, where music knows no bounds in the glory of He who created it. Where light flows from the throne of the almighty like snow on a pleasant winter day, slow but firm in its path, covering all in its tread. For as this snow sheathes all on earth in its cold and un relenting grasp, this light envelops its path with a warmth and radiance overshadowed only by that of God Himself.

Just as the most beautiful sunset we can dream of has in its comprising colours the best hues of purple, red, orange and yellow, such would be only a single moment of the day, as the entire eternity would be filled with images that put such sunsets to shame. Where infinite choruses echo throughout creation of Alleliua and Hosanna.
