ICrIPE 01/2021 - Development of a NAO Robotics System Extension to Measure Heart Rate and Oxygen Saturation of Children

Abstract - This project is mainly to assist paediatric based medical staffs when taking Heart rate and Oxygen Saturation measurements. The NAO humanoid robot will be used to assist the paediatric medical staff to enhance the current conventional measurement method. With the integration of the NAO robot, it will make the procedure to be more attractive and friendlier for children. By using the cute and human alike appearance, the NAO robot is capable to attract children attention and indirectly ease the whole process. In order to integrate additional sensors such as Pulse Oximeter sensor and Pressure sensor, the Arduino Mega microcontroller is used in this project. The data logging function also provided to the medical staff as an optional feature to save the measurement data. Finally, this project enables the NAO robot autonomously to perform the Heart rate and Oxygen Saturation measurement with minimal intervention from medical staff.

Abstract - Eco Rover Beach is an innovative product designed to make it easy to clean the beach. This innovation focuses on ensuring that beach quality is maintained clean and free of macro waste in a sustainable way. This is because most of the beach in Malaysia is filled with stranded and discarded waste, and cleaning it requires a lot of effort and energy. The most important factors influencing beach selection, particularly by foreign tourists, were cleanliness. Eco Rover products deliberately innovate in line with the previous notion to demonstrate the importance of beach cleanliness to local and non-local beach users. With the lever that can be used to control the stainless-steel mesh philtre which acts as a segregation of sands and macro waste, the Eco Rover product can scrape up trash on the beach site. The Eco Rover chassis is made of eco-friendly material such as steel; as it comes from recycled scrap metals, the eco-friendliest metals are also extremely resistant to wear and tear at a fraction of the cost compared to conventional materials. The creation of Eco Rover will be a green, easy, and cost-effective process aligned with the main objective of environmental and energy sustainability.

ICrIPE 03/2021 - Evolution Fence

Abstract - Evolution Fence is produced and designed as an alternatively high impact to solutions in facing natural disasters for certain issues and this evolution can also be a mind-breaker in the ladder of ways to save the public. Evolution Fence is a potential product to be widely used worldwide, especially in Malaysia because of its easy-to-use and environmentally friendly design by residential owners and thereby becoming initiatives that can be taken by residential owners who are at risk of flooding. Evolution Fence can act as a fan fig for life-saving and property purposes. Meanwhile, Evolution Fence Tsunami is a special product created to save the lives of victims of large wave disasters and tsunamis. The third fence is called Evo Fence Rescue Foam. The idea of this innovation broke out aimed at rescuing fire victims trapped inside the building at an altitude of a 1-3-storey house or building. With the Evo Fence Rescue Foam turned into a fence the location of the public incident can dispel quickly and easily by being placed at the victim's plunge point on the 1-3th floor of the house or building. The foam used will absorb the enthronization from the victim's plunge and thus rescue the victim from drowning of smoke and fire. These high-impact inventions have the potential to be additional initiatives to rescue teams such as fire department, JPAM, armed forces to act on the rescue. Evolution Fence is also known as Evo Fence.

ICrIPE 04/2021 - Effectiveness Study of EZY Endurance Pantspron Use in Course SKA 4103 Pembuatan Kasut Beraksesori at Manjung Community College

Abstract - The development of Shoe Crafts and Leather Crafts nowadays has a huge impact on its entrepreneurs. In general, skills and interests in the field need to be applied in the soul as early as when learning in the classroom again to form the ethics of a student of caliber and professional. Therefore, the study on the effectiveness of the use of EZY Endurance Pantspron products focuses on students of the Shoe and Craft Manufacture Certificate Program and shoe craftsmen who face dirt and discomfort with their clothes, while carrying out work related to the manufacture and repair of shoes, and leather crafts. From the initial study, it was found that the average student and entrepreneur is not comfortable doing work with the existing apron, because the existing apron is made of thin material, easily torn and rotten. EZY Endurance Pantspron facilitates and assists students in the Shoe Making and Leather Craft Certificate program at Manjung Community College in preparing themselves before and while doing practical work at the college and helps Malaysian craftsmen who face dirty clothes due to shoe glue and dust, their skills and image. EZY Endurance Pantspron has pockets that serve to place small appliances and dispose of leather and paper waste. The problem of dirty floor can also be reduced. This EZY Endurance Pantspron is very strong, durable and very suitable for shoe making work compared to aprons made from other types of materials. In addition, when the work is completed, this apron serves as a storage bag so that it is easy to carry to class, or to the shoe manufacturing industry. The respondents of this study involved 15 students selected from SKA 4103 Pembuatan Kasut beraksesori, Certificate of Shoe Making And Leather Craft, 15 participants of short office shoe making course and 3 shoemakers around Manjung district. Samples are given to respondents to get feedback from them. Respondents are also distributed questionnaires; this method is the easiest and fastest way to get information. Data analysis is done using Microsoft Office-Microsoft Excel 2016. The accuracy of the data obtained contributes to the reliability of the product produced to expand its potential use.

Abstract - Idea penghasilan inovasi e-MoED adalah berdasarkan kepada keperluan pelajar untuk memahami keseluruhan proses pengurusan acara yang menumpukan kepada komponen event design. e-MoED merupakan satu module berbentuk e-book yang merangkumi asas pengetahuan, latihan pengukuhan, pelaksanaan latihan praktikal serta sumber rujukan yang boleh membantu pelajar dalam mencapai hasil pembelajaran bagi mata pelajaran DTE30114 Event Design. Skop inovasi ini memberi nilai tambah kepada proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang menjadi tugas hakiki kepada pensyarah. Projek inovasi ini memberi impak positif kepada pelajar dan pensyarah dalam aspek pengurusan masa yang efektif serta penjimatan kos.

ICrIPE 06/2021 - PBT Covid-19 War Room

Abstract - This study was conducted to find out the effectiveness and interest of lecturers and students of Besut Terengganu Polytechnic on the information access application developed. This application was developed to assist local lecturers and students when the movement control situation and education center were closed. To ensure that the service can continue to be implemented successfully, an application website has been created to provide faster and more effective access to information. Covid-19 War Room PBT was developed during the commencement of the first Movement Control Order starting on 18 March 2020 to disconnect the COVID-19 network. The Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Education to implement home learning initiatives during the PKP to ensure that children's education will not be neglected during this period. In accordance with the instructions issued, all lecturers are instructed to work from home and the teaching and learning process is implemented remotely. This situation makes it difficult to channel information thoroughly and systematically to lecturers and students on what to do during the PKP period. The management has used various information delivery channels to ensure that all activities can be implemented even though the staff is not in the Besut Polytechnic office and teaching and learning are not face to face. This study will use the questionnaire methodology used to obtain the data. This data will be analyzed using a chart that illustrates the effectiveness and interest of local lecturers and students on the use of PBT Covid-19 War Room application.

ICrIPE 07/2021 - Efficient Temperature Control and Monitoring System Based Internet of Things

Abstract - The internet landscape and network are burgeoning. It is not about the escalating development of laptops and smartphones anymore, but it is more about how these devices are connected through the internet successfully. This paper presents the development of the Internet of Things (IoT) relationship in computer networking by implementing the Arduino microcontroller device. In this project, the Blynk application will monitor the surrounding temperature and humidity by using an internet connection through wireless device NodeMCU ESP8266 Arduino microcontroller. This project aims to show a small device NodeMCU microcontroller as wireless internet. The objective is to implement the Blynk application for IoT technology by monitoring temperature and humidity remotely for this project. Besides, this project has also been designing to show that IoT gives insight into how consumers integrate technology into their daily lives. The sensors and the smartphone are connected wirelessly as long as there is an internet connection for the devices. As a result, this project's output can be seen on the smartphone from the Blynk application by internet connection. The Blynk application has been successfully controlled the fan at the circuit and monitors the temperature and humidity from DHT 11 sensor. The NodeMCU device has collected the output and send it to the Blynk application every second. Based on the tests performed, this system's design has worked well as been planning. Graph-like temperature display on Blynk application successfully shows actual ambient temperature data average of 26°C, as well as a fan, will be ON automatically if the temperature exceeds 25°C and vice versa. Finally, this project proved that computer networking technology has been moving frontward increased with the contribution in the IoT world throughout Arduino devices.

ICrIPE 08/2021 - Innovation in Application Q-SWIFT for Hotel Industry

Abstract - In line with the pandemic situation, hotel industry might face various problems to provide a good service to guests but still follow the standard operation procedure (SOP) recommended by our country. One of the main issues include many hotel operators have to scale down their labour costs significantly through reducing the working hours or they even have to retrench the staff in order to cover their loss of revenue. Pertaining to SOP, guests would prefer to have less physical contact with strangers during travel or hotel check-in. Meanwhile, the check-in process may have given difficulties to the management in handling the guest. Not only that, room services are also very crucial to be managed by the hotel staff. To support this situation, an innovation is needed to fix this issue and to bring back the hotel industry to a new norm management and system. Therefore, “Q-SWIFT Contactless Room Service” is developed as an optimal solution in dealing with the problem of the hotel. The function of the product has keyless elements and room service assistant. For the keyless element, it will solve the check-in/check-out process time. The guest trust is regained by providing an alternative to contactless check-in and digital key room entry by the front desk. By using this mobile application, no physical key or keycard is needed and the time is also saved because there are no dependencies of third party. Additionally, room amenities and in-room dining can also be requested through this mobile application, enabling guests to choose items for room service delivery. Thus, this mobile application will help the hotel industry to face new norm circumstances and assist customers to have pleasant hotel experiences particularly in this pandemic situation.

ICrIPE 09/2021 - Mask-Can: An Alternative for Better Waste Management.

Abstract - Plastic pollution is a global issue that threatens both land and coastal environments as well as human livelihoods. As the World Health Organization (WHO) has discovered Covid-19 in China in December 2019, numerous measures have been taken in order to combat the transmission of the virus worldwide which includes the use of face masks. According to the local newspaper, the improper disposal of face masks in Malaysia has contributed to a growing concern that it could pose environmental and health impact. Hence, it needs innovative solutions that can be tailored to the local environment. This innovation is designed in order to minimize littering issues with regard to disposing face masks along with outreach programmed that would greatly reduce litter issues at the transportation hub. By innovating a reverse vending machine may reduce the microplastic pollution specifically at the public transportation hub and improve the quality of the environment at once. Malaysian government policy encourages people to use public transportation frequently as an initiative to reduce traffic congestion, air pollution and environmental concerns. Studies have shown customer satisfaction when using Light Rail Transit (LRT) and the consumer was not satisfied with the cleanliness at the stations. With the invention of Mask-can, it can help the rail company to encounter the issue by maintaining and upgrading their service to attain higher levels of satisfaction. Mask-can is derived from the combination words of "face mask", meaning a protective mask covering the nose and mouth and "can" is a waste container to dispose of waste items. Mask-can is a proper mask disposal reverse vending machine for the public to properly dispose of their used face mask in Malaysia. In exchange, the user will get a selection of rewards of tourism products from our collaborated partners. Additionally, it will be placed at a location which is used daily and accessible by the transportation users such as LRT Station hence, the maximum utilization of the innovation will be ensured.

ICrIPE 10/2021 - SHINE PEN – Hygiene Travel Kit Pen

Abstract - SHINE PEN is personalizing hygiene travel kits for people who are traveling by plane or car as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. SHINE PEN stands for sanitation and hygiene innovation pen which is a hygiene travel kit in a pen format. The compact kit consists of hand sanitizer and soap that is placed on the side to side of the compartment. It is the first invented product which combines dual essential liquid in one container rather than to bring two or more separate bottles in one particular hand carry. By promoting ready to use items, hence the SHINE PEN encourages the practice of hand washing and sanitizing among communities. These kits allow consumers to ensure their hygiene and cleanliness of the objects they come into contact with while traveling to other places. Even after the COVID- 19 crisis is over, certain aspects of peoples’ life and thoughts will remain changed. As customers are now more conscious of their healthy lifestyles, the increase of awareness and more precautionary action while going outside will be taken into consideration. The act of rapid response of washing hands with soap and sanitizing should be a daily practice, not just to prevent the spread of COVID-19 alone. To adapt to this new norm practices, the hygiene travel kit was created to ease the travel pattern of the consumer. This latest initiative seeks to make consumers feel safer and protected and comply with medical recommendations. The key to have a healthy body and mind is by developing and maintaining a personal hygiene routine.

ICrIPE 11/2021 -  COMPADRE Mobile Travel Application

Abstract - Sola traveller applications and mobile travel application are often indistinguishable. Even travel planner applications are taken very seriously, the invention of direction guides, information on specific destinations or planning itenaries are still less concerning in market. The competition between these two application has increased due to the normal growth of mobile travel application and these kind of application have also no exception in the travel and tourism industry. Beside that also solo traveler has become extremely popular as a new group of travelers that are now dominating the market due to various factors such as affordability, trendy locations, events and space constraints. In the new product development process they are focusing on three main components identification of prospects, development and testing of new products. Difficulties in accessing the internet to search for information or directions are their major problems and that is how we came out with this application called ‘Compadre’. Through this application, what we aim to attain is to offer users a way to escape the stressful thoughts about missing their way, or worrying about their safety, particularly for female travelers. Furthermore, we also wanted to help user to stop worrying about traffic jams, limited time to get to those locations, and also help people to stay fit and healthy during their holidays. The result of the study shows that solo travelers can gather more information in one platform and are easy to access 24 7. Compadre can be used without internet data and it has user-friendly features, convenient for users of all ages and from all walks of life. At the same time, this Compadre application enables users to keep track of their daily step count and calorie count with the C-Fit mode, which also serves as an interactive experience for travelers to earn bridges with the trips. In addition to that, we also hope to encourage a more health-conscious society by adding the step tracking function and calorie burn counts.

ICrIPE 12/2021 - Gastronomy Video as Induction Tool for Teaching and Learning

Abstract - The objective of this development was to create an induction video for Eastern Cuisine Class for Diploma in Halal Practise in Malaysian Polytechnic while promoting an instructional strategy that attract student’s attention before proceed with the whole class lesson with better learning experience. During the pandemic outbreak, most of the educational institutions were closed down, the medium of learning had transformed from offline to an online medium. This new normal had affected student learning style especially for the practical class for culinary and hospitality students. Some lecturers put their initiative to create a live streaming video, however, this medium is not the best solution as a mistake might be occurred during the session. The possibility for students to get confused and misinterpret are very high compared to a recorded version where the mistake can be amended through reshoot and editing techniques. Therefore, this gastronomy video was developed based on Mayer's Multimedia Learning Principle that includes - visual, audio, text title and subtitle - as effective learning design elements and this 3 minutes’ video are expected to be preferable as being more engaging, efficiency at achieving learning objectives as well as the ease at enabling the student to replicate the content. The usage of this educational video may also help students to learn at their own pace as personalising learning material. As such, this educational video can be expanded as one of the teachings and learning tools in the school of culinary and hospitality that offers Eastern or Asian Cuisine Course either in Malaysian Polytechnics or in other institutions as well as a reference for self-direct learning to the public.

ICrIPE 13/2021 - Teaching and Learning Methods Using Augmented Reality Technology :  Interactive Learning Camping Education Using Augmented Reality

Abstract - The purpose of this study aims to identify the level of awareness and perception of Tourism Management students on the use of 'augmented reality' (AR) technology of teaching and learning. The first objective is to find and gather about camp information. The second is to design content in booklets and AR applications and the third is to create augmented reality as an interactive teaching and learning tool in the topic of camping. Studies on camping in augmented reality have not yet been extensive and not yet well known. The content of augmented reality consists of the history of the camp, the types of tents, the anatomy of the tents, camping equipment, places of interest, procedures and safety, the selection of suitable camping sites and the layout of the campsite. There are 2 methods used to produce teaching and learning tools, namely producing booklets and producing naming methods using uniteAR software. The results show that 90% of students strongly agree that the content of teaching and learning delivery in AR is very easy to understand. 52% of respondents strongly agreed and 48% agreed AR as an educational tool in the subject of camping interactively in the DTM3023 Recreational Tourism (Terrestrial) Course. 52% strongly agree and 45% agree to study the subject of camping in the Augmented Reality application. Most students today prefer technological education. Respondents consisted of students giving a very positive perception of the use of AR in education, especially for the DTM3023 Recreational Tourism (Terrestrial) Course. Augmented reality is seen as an innovative, simple, interesting and effective medium of future teaching and learning media as well as providing a fun experience for students and lecturers when using this method.

ICrIPE 14/2021 - Design and Fabrication of Food Strainer

Abstract - Malaysians and food are inseparable. Although food varieties are taken so seriously, yet food safety or hygienic are less concerned. According to Food Act 1983, besides hazards and frauds about foods, the preparation, handling, distribution and the quality plays vital role. Since pandemic has hit all the country in the whole world, almost everyone either in small scale or in large scale to gain income is doing the food business because of the retrenchment in almost all the industries. This contribution aims to report on the development, includes design and fabrication of a food strainer. The food strainer is innovated because of several problems that hawkers face during the food handling process. Their problems are it will take longer time to transfer foods that are boiled or blanched from the strainer to the packaging. The process is developing the product uses Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding. This research includes the consideration of design assisted by design tool (AutoCAD). The material used in the development of food strainer are stainless steel (SS) to avoid corrosion. The food strainer can take up to 700g weight in total and foods that can be used are Yong Tau Fu, noodles, bean sprouts, leafy vegetables and so on. The method used are Pugh method in obtaining the best design with the most criteria. Results of the study shows that the hawkers reduced their time and increase customer satisfaction by handling the packaging fast.

ICrIPE 15/2021 - Scan and Learn as a Teaching and Learning Tool for Food and Beverage Services in Technical and Vocational Education

Abstract - Technology and internet have become a huge part in our life, and the usage of QR code is becoming popular nowadays. The innovation of Scan and Learn is developed using the usage of the QR code. An online platform is chosen which is the Wixsites to store the suitable visual aids in food and beverage services education. Scan and Learn is specifically prepared for food and beverages services course which focuses on the procedures needed in preparation of dining area that is called as mise en place, namely the preparation of the guest table, preparation of side table and the napkin folding. With the help of visual aids, the learning process becomes more attractive. It captures the student’s interest and attention. Thus, the learning and teaching process is simplified and the students can easily access the link to the website through QR code provided. The origin idea of Scan and Learn arises due to many practical activities involved in food and beverages services course which require the students to perform the tasks according to the established standard, and it is difficult for students to learn without proper visual aids. Thus, the purpose of Scan and Learn is to facilitate teaching and learning in classroom for food and beverage services in technical and vocational education. The product itself is in a small size ID card to make it easy to carry anywhere to get to the visual aids attached online through the use of QR code. The lecturer can effectively guide the students on performing the tasks in food and beverage services with the right technique. It also improves the way students’ study. Furthermore, it increases the students’ level of understanding in the learning process. Scan and Learn introduces QR code technology in food and beverage services education.

ICrIPE 16/2021 - Application of VR 360 Video in the Introduction of Engineering Survey Equipment

Abstract - Virtual Reality (VR) is a new technology used in the teaching and learning process in Malaysia. VR is a fully enclosed digital environment that replaces real surroundings. In response to the policy "Redesigning Higher Education 2017" and Industry Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0), with the initiative of the lecturers from the Department of Civil Engineering, Politeknik Sultan Azlan Shah (PSAS), 'Interactive VR 360 Video in Introduction of Engineering Survey Equipment' was developed. In the development of the VR 360 video, the researchers attempted to match the content of Engineering Surveying syllabus, which involved Levelling and Traverse equipment operation and simulation video of practical fieldwork. The development of 360 videos was conducted to help students to learn the operation of survey equipment by using technology and as a tool to encourage independent learning among students. Indirectly it can overcome the lack of practical skills during the fieldwork. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the suitability of Video 360 as a new method in the process of teaching and learning for the engineering surveying course. In order to achieve the aim of this study two (2) objectives were designed, 1) to identify the content of interactive VR 360 video for Engineering Surveying that corresponds with the content of the syllabus and 2) to explore the perception of students towards the application. Data collection has been done through an online questionnaire (i.e. Google form) to gather opinions from different respondents. Based on the findings, video 360 content was developed according to the syllabus and is suitable as a teaching aid to students. Besides, the study found that students' perceptions of the use of video 360 application were positive based on the high average mean score.

Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the suitability of Video 360 as a new method in the process of teaching and learning for the engineering surveying course. In order to achieve the aim of this study two (2) objectives were designed, 1) to identify the content of interactive VR 360 video for Engineering Surveying that corresponds with the content of the syllabus and 2) to explore the perception of students towards the application. Data collection has been done through an online questionnaire (i.e. Google form) to gather opinions from different respondents. Based on the findings, video 360 content was developed according to the syllabus and is suitable as a teaching aid to students. Besides, the study found that students' perceptions of the use of video 360 application were positive based on the high average mean score.ICrIPE

Abstract - This study was conducted to produce an on-the-bed fire safety system used by students with hearing-impaired in the hostel of Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan, Johor Malaysia. This study also aims to find the best approach in giving fire warnings to hearing-impaired students at the same time while fire warnings are given to the normal students. Thus, this system will be integrated with the main emergency systems available in hostel buildings. The fire safety system developed is using a sprinkler system that aims to wake and alert a hearing-impaired student during a fire. In this way, they will be instantaneously aware of the fire and can indirectly help reduce the risk of death for the aforementioned student during the fire. The safety system product was produced and tested in the workshop to ensure that this product can function in a proper manner.

Abstract - Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji persepsi pelajar Diploma Pengurusan Perniagaan terhadap kursus DPB20053 Business Mathematics. Sampel kajian terdiri dari pelajar semester dua dari Jabatan Perdagangan, Politeknik Mukah dari segi minat, sikap dan latar belakang pelajar terhadap. Sampel kajian terdiri daripada 70 orang pelajar diploma pengurusan perniagaan semester dua dari jabatan perdagangan, Politeknik Mukah, Sarawak. Instrumen yang digunakan ialah borang soal selidik yang mengandungi dua bahagian utama iaitu maklumat berkenaan latar belakang responden dan persoalan kajian. Soal selidik ini digunakan untuk mengenalpasti latar belakang pendidikan, sikap dan minat terhadap pelajar terhadap kursus yang melibatkan pengiraan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) bagi mendapatkan nilai min dan kekerapan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan dengan pengaruh pelajaran matematik yang telah dipelajari sejak di sekolah rendah telah mendorong pelajar meminati subjek Business Mathematics dengan lebih tinggi. Walaupun persepsi pelajar bagi kursus ini adalah kursus yang sukar dan membosankan, namun pelajar tetap bersedia mempelajarinya. Malah pelajar juga mempunyai minat yang baik dalam kursus ini kerana ia mendorong mereka menggunakan akal untuk menyelesaikan masalah matematik.

Abstract - Kewujudan Program Pendidikan khas adalah untuk pelajar kurang upaya yang terdiri daripada pelbagai latar belakang masalah kecacatan dan kesihatan. Pelajar pendidikan khas dengan masalah pendengaran dan pertuturan (pekak) diberi peluang untuk melanjutkan pelajaran ke peringkat pengajian tinggi. Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan adalah salah satu institusi pengajian tinggi yang menawarkan program pendidikan khas melalui program Sijil Kemahiran Khas dalam Reka Bentuk Fesyen dan Pakaian. Bahasa Isyarat adalah bahasa komunikasi utama yang digunakan dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Walaubagaimanapun, terdapat banyak cabaran dalam penyampaian maklumat kepada pelajar dengan penggunaan bahasa isyarat yang tidak selaras di kalangan pensyarah dan pelajar Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan. Kekeliruan sering dihadapi oleh pelajar dalam memahami istilah dan maksud bahasa isyarat yang digunakan dalam bidang Rekabentuk Fesyen. FasTep Application adalah aplikasi mudah alih yang direka untuk dijalankan pada peranti mudah alih pelajar dan pensyarah. FasTep Application direka dengan menggunakan perisian Adobe Animate. Penggunaan Adobe Photoshop dan Adobe Premiere sebagai perisian yang menyokong dalam penghasilan aplikasi ini. Produk ini menerangkan terminology, menyelaraskan penggunaan bahasa isyarat dikalangan pensyarah dan pelajar dalam Bidang Rekabentuk Fesyen dan Pakaian dengan menggunakan bahasa isyarat. Aplikasi ini dilengkapi dengan visual dan video yang menarik untuk memastikan penerangan yang lebih jelas supaya mudah diikuti dan diaplikasikan di kalangan pelajar Rekabentuk Fesyen dan Pensyarah. Pelajar masa kini mempunyai telefon bimbit sendiri termasuk pelajar berkeperluan khas dan ini memudahkan mereka memuat turun aplikasi mudah alih ini di telefon pintar mereka. FasTep Application dapat dilihat dan dipelajari oleh semua pelajar dan pensyarah pada bila-bila masa di telefon pintar mereka, juga boleh diguna sama di sekolah-sekolah yang menawarkan bidang Rekabentuk  Fesyen sebagai rujukan.

Abstract - The Three-dimensional image has three approaches of three groups such as a) oblique b) axonometry and c) perspective. An object seen from a distance will change the size, distance, and colour of a natural object. These changes are called a perspective in the context of art. There is three ways that need to be emphasized in the perspective such as one point, two-point, and three-point perspective and two techniques in perspective drawing that can be done using aids and based on a scale that is referred to as a measured perspective, while another technique is called perspective in the form of sketches done without using aids in other words referred to as freehand sketches. The objective of the study is to facilitate DVF1013 Introduction to Art and Design students’ course in producing a measurable perspective process and to identify effectiveness of 3.1 PRT product to get accuracy of perspective image as a measurable perspective in DVI20053 Industrial Design 1 course. All respondents for this study are students of Diploma in Fashion Design and Clothing and Diploma in Industrial Design, Design and Visual Communication Department, Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan. This study was conducted in a quantitative method using a questionnaire that was analysed descriptively to semester one students as many as 72 respondents while semester two students as many as 51 respondents. Overall innovation 3.1 Perspective Ruler Template, hundred percent can be used as a facilitator in producing measurable perspectives as well as obtain the accuracy of perspectives in design sketches. In conclusion 3.1 Perspective Ruler Template very helpful in the production of quality design sketches as well as able to not waste time in producing sketches.

Abstract - Revolusi Industri 4.0 telah memberikan impak dan kesan langsung kepada kaedah pengajaran dan pembelajaran (PdP) pelajar pada masa kini. Kursus DPB20033 Macroeconomics merupakan kursus wajib dan dianggap sukar oleh pelajar kerana isi kandungan kursus ini adalah pengiraan dan juga teori Makroekonomi. Berdasarkan analisis CORR dan PLORR (DAT) mendapati peratus pencapaian adalah rendah iaitu 64% yang disebabkan oleh pelajar yang lemah dalam memahami aspek teori dan pengiraan disamping kurang berminat untuk kursus yang melibatkan teori atau pembacaan. Prestasi semasa peperiksaan akhir juga kurang memberansangkan apabila perbezaan markah penilaian berterusan dan peperiksaan akhir adalah besar. Buku elektronik (e-buku) ialah sejenis medium penyampaian maklumat yang merujuk kepada penggunaan data digital seakan buku yang mengandungi pelbagai maklumat dalam bentuk teks dan gambar. Test Me! adalah satu bentuk inovasi PdP yang dibangunkan menggunakan gabungan kaedah e-buku dan juga Google Forms. Test Me! lebih menumpukan kepada aktiviti di dalam kelas, latihan, kuiz serta soalan peperiksaan akhir yang perlu dijawab oleh pelajar secara atas talian sejurus selepas selesai setiap PdP. Inovasi Test Me! ini, mengintegrasikan penggunaan e-buku dan juga Google Forms bagi mempelbagaikan kaedah PdP. Seramai 35 orang pelajar telah menjawab soal selidik tentang kebolehgubaan E-buku yang dibangunkan.Data yang diperolehi telah dianalisis secara diskriptif menggunakan Microsoft Excel. Hasil dapatan kajian ini mendapati purata min setiap aspek mencapai tahap tinggi (min > 4.1). Oleh itu, E Buku yang dibangunkan ini adalah sesuai digunakan dalam PdP DPB20033 Macroeconomics di Politeknik.

Abstract - In today’s busy world, people are rush do their work. It made their body sweat and uncomfortable to do another work. In addition, with unpredictable weather conditions, it is difficult to control the sweat of body especially when sunny day. With regard to this, have develop an Air Purifier Cooling System using Blynk application to solve a problem related to dirty air and dry weather and to monitor the product easily. The objectives of this system is to develop an electrical cooler product for save current energy by using IoT system, to build air purifier cooler system for on/off automatically when the temperature is high and to control air purifier cooler system by using Blynk application. This system works as an automation system which is consists of fan and air filter. To make the system worked, it is merge with cooling system and IoT system. When the air purifier is turning on, the air is crossing air filter, so dirty air become clean air. Moreover, a fan of cooling system will blow clean air a little bit faster and make the air fulfil the environment. This cooling system also attached to make the environment feel cool and comfortable. An IoT system was included to turn on and turn off the product easily by using Blynk application. It worked through NodeMCU ESP 8266 get the signal from with mobile apps for control purpose. As the result, the product can make user felt comfortable by cool environment and breathe clean air. It also can make user not too sweat even the temperature are around 30°c. Generally, the air purifier using IoT and cooling system was successfully operated. The product will make everyone comfortable and ease. This product can commercialize to the community because it easier to use, give benefit to user and use IR4.0 technologies.

Abstract - Sustainable development in agriculture and yield improvement of crops can be achieved through scientific management of land productivity. The use of chemical fertilizer provides immediate availability of nutrients. But, over a long period of time, continuous use of chemical fertilizer leads to instability in yield, unhealthy soil and environmental pollution. This Eggshell Fertilizer with Notification product is operation input voltage 12VDC. This product uses Node MCU ESP8266 as microcontroller. This system is using Arduino IDE application for coding in C++ language. Eggshell Fertilizer with Notification are used to process the eggshell wastage into an small pieces without use user’s hand to make an organic fertilizer. The application of this system, user only need to put the eggshell wastage into the machine and tap the touch sensor to start the fertilization processes. After the process is done, user will receive a notification through Telegram Bots Application. The user will receive the notification everywhere or anytime via mobile phone with internet. For commercial use, the innovation of this system is invented to make it easier for user to recycle their wastages without making any environment pollution. So, this project is carried out in order to help in the improvement of crop yield and the fertility of soil with an option to monitor it using smartphone.

Inovasi ini mensasarkan pengguna yang terdiri dikalangan kakitangan, pelajar dan pelanggan di Kolej Komuniti Temerloh. ICrIPE 27/2021 - Online Basic Electrical Circuit Practical Task Methodology Development for Electrical Technology Course

Abstract - Electrical Technology is a compulsory subject taken by all engineering students in institutions of higher learning. The study found that students have difficulty adapting the basic theory of electrical circuits in problem solving, especially during practical laboratory training. This difficulty is compounded by the contagion pandemic of the Covid-19 epidemic that curbs face-to-face learning. Online learning is an alternative to the implementation of teaching and learning sessions. However, the constraint of the ability to own equipment such as computers or laptops is an issue in performing practical activities in a simulated manner. This innovation was developed to facilitate and improve students' understanding when performing practical exercises such as in the laboratory. Through this innovation, students can see more clearly the structure of the basic electrical circuit construction where the use of equipment is as real. This activity is implemented online without the need for students to download the practical application, namely TinkerCAD and Vidyard. Comparison between circuit calculation in theory and measurement using measurement tools can further strengthen understanding in problem solving related to basic electrical circuits. The practical session begins with understanding the given schematic circuit before building the connection on the virtual equipment properly. Next, students will perform calculations using several theoretical parameters based on the circuit that has been built. These parameters will be used in comparison with the value of laboratory online practical measurement. The measurement process based on the parameters used is to strengthen students' understanding. Students are also asked to record the practical implemented using the Vidyard application as evidence of individual practical implementation using cloud storage. Observation found that students were more likely to apply theory to laboratory practical training in a shorter period of time than previous methods. Students also did not have problems in performing simulations and recordings online.

Abstract - Absorber system is a knuckle-mounted device on a vehicle's wheel which functions to reduce and absorb the impact of a crash when a vehicle is moving on an uneven road or ground. There are two types of absorbers. They are hydraulic and gas compression. Gas compressor is more durable than the hydraulic type. The life expectancy of hydraulic type absorber system is shorter than gas compression and the conversion process would occur in the event of a malfunction. The techniques of installing spring absorber using spring clamp is a conventional method and is commonly used at workshops and Sultan Ahmad Shah Vocational College (KVSAS). The time taken to open and reinstall the spring in absorber is a problem faced by mechanics and automotive lecturers. In addition, the safety in using conventional method is very low and users of the device are at high risk of injury especially when the spring is compressed. To solve the problem, an idea was developed to design a better spring compressor. A detailed study was carried out through the reading of previous studies, three designs were produced by using sketches and the best design is selected through the matrix method. The materials used consist of product waste and the cost spent in assembling the spring compressor is RM57.00. The spring compressor is produced through metal fabrication processes such as cutting, drilling, welding and painting. To test the effectiveness of the spring compressor, two methods were implemented by using questionnaire and time comparison test between spring compressor and spring clamps. The questionnaire was produced by using Microsoft Word. The questionnaire was distributed to 58 respondents (32 males and 26 females) at 3 secondary schools at Kuala Rompin District and 17 automotive students at KVSAS. The questionnaires were analyzed by using Microsoft Excel. From the results, 100% of respondents agreed that using spring compressor saves time compared to spring clamps. 100% of respondents stated that using spring compressor is safer and more appropriate during teaching and learning process. 98.3% of respondents agreed that spring compressor should be used at KVSAS to assist lecturers in teaching absorber system. The result of the test comparison time is 9 minutes. The cost is reduced to RM32.00. In conclusion, spring compressor achieves the objectives of the study in term of time-saving, safety and usability at KVSAS.

Abstract - COVID-19 merupakan satu pandemik. Dunia pendidikan mengalami normal baharu yang tidak pernah diduga. Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran secara dalam talian perlu dilaksanakan bagi meneruskan agenda pendidikan holistik. Proses ini bukan sahaja melibatkan pelajar normal, malah pelajar berkeperluan khas atau Orang Kelainan Upaya (OKU). Salah satu kategori OKU ialah cacat pendengaran. Dalam pembelajaran, pelajar cacat pendengaran cenderung dan berminat untuk menggunakan imej visual interaktif serta imej-imej pegun dan visual bergerak sebagai kaedah tambahan pengajaran dan pembelajaran (Aidah et. al 2016). Objektif pembangunan inovasi M-Ilustrasi adalah bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan konsep pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan teknologi mudah alih dan kod QR. Ia menyokong pembelajaran secara kendiri atau heutagogi (self-directed learning) dalam kalangan pelajar. Inovasi ini mendukung pelaksanaan kaedah pengajaran dan pembelajaran bercirikan revolusi industri 4.0 dengan menambahbaik keterlibatan dan interaksi pelajar (student engagement), khususnya bagi kursus SVG 2044: Ilustrasi. Kajian melibatkan responden pelajar berkeperluan khas di Jabatan Rekabentuk Dan Komunikasi Visual melalui edaran soal selidik. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa 100% responden bersetuju, medium M-Ilustrasi berjaya meningkatkan dan memudahkan proses P&P melalui kaedah heutagogi. Bukan itu sahaja, ia mudah disimpan, menjimatkan masa, meningkatkan interaksi antara pelajar dan pensyarah dan alat bantu mengajar yang berkesan. M-Ilustrasi boleh dipertingkatkan dengan memperkenalkan konsep pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan teknologi Augmented Reality (AR). Pada masa hadapan, M-Ilustrasi bakal menjadi rujukan serta panduan kepada masyarakat, pendidik, ibu bapa dan para pelajar di seluruh Malaysia. Tambahan pula, pendekatan ini dapat memberi gambaran kepada masyarakat dalam bidang seni visual.

Abstract - Kewujudan Program Pendidikan khas adalah untuk pelajar kurang upaya yang terdiri daripada pelbagai latar belakang masalah kecacatan dan kesihatan. Pelajar pendidikan khas dengan masalah pendengaran dan pertuturan (pekak) diberi peluang untuk melanjutkan pelajaran ke peringkat pengajian tinggi. Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan adalah salah satu institusi pengajian tinggi yang menawarkan program pendidikan khas melalui program Sijil Kemahiran Khas dalam Reka Bentuk Fesyen dan Pakaian. Bahasa Isyarat adalah bahasa komunikasi utama yang digunakan dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Walaubagaimanapun, terdapat banyak cabaran dalam penyampaian maklumat kepada pelajar dengan penggunaan bahasa isyarat yang tidak selaras di kalangan pensyarah dan pelajar Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan. Kekeliruan sering dihadapi oleh pelajar dalam memahami istilah dan maksud bahasa isyarat yang digunakan dalam bidang Rekabentuk Fesyen. FasTep Application adalah aplikasi mudah alih yang direka untuk dijalankan pada peranti mudah alih pelajar dan pensyarah. FasTep Application direka dengan menggunakan perisian Adobe Animate. Penggunaan Adobe Photoshop dan Adobe Premiere sebagai perisian yang menyokong dalam penghasilan aplikasi ini. Produk ini menerangkan terminology, menyelaraskan penggunaan bahasa isyarat dikalangan pensyarah dan pelajar dalam Bidang Rekabentuk Fesyen dan Pakaian dengan menggunakan bahasa isyarat. Aplikasi ini dilengkapi dengan visual dan video yang menarik untuk memastikan penerangan yang lebih jelas supaya mudah diikuti dan diaplikasikan di kalangan pelajar Rekabentuk Fesyen dan Pensyarah. Pelajar masa kini mempunyai telefon bimbit sendiri termasuk pelajar berkeperluan khas dan ini memudahkan mereka memuat turun aplikasi mudah alih ini di telefon pintar mereka. FasTep Application dapat dilihat dan dipelajari oleh semua pelajar dan pensyarah pada bila- bila masa di telefon pintar mereka, juga boleh diguna sama di sekolah-sekolah yang menawarkan bidang Rekabentuk Fesyen sebagai rujukan.

Abstract - Piper sarmentosum (PS) or Kaduk is plant belongs to the family of Piperaceae, has become popular due to its application in medicinal properties throughout the globe and culinary herbs in Southeast- Asia. The leaves traditionally contain naringenin, a flavanone that considered to have bioactive effects as antioxidant for human health used to cure many diseases such as fever, asthma, toothaches, headaches and coughs as well as contributes in pharmacological effects to relieve hypertension, anti-cancer and anti-diabetes. Despite the health benefits, easy to grow and abundance sources, the production of ready to eat products from PS plants is almost none in the market. Therefore, the objective of this study was undertaken to prepare the functional sheet from Piper leaves produced under the identical conditions of cooking time, temperature and shape. The main focus on this product development is to make it ready to eat and multiuse, hence the Piper Kaduk Sheet was made and shaped in a roasted dried sheet in measured sized approximately 8” x 7” which can be easily consumed for seasoning, soup, rolls and infused for drink.

Abstract - Pandemic covid-19 has caused the change of education system in Malaysia into long distance education. The Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia has issued instructions that all teaching and learning activities (T&L) should be implemented online. It presents a new challenge for lecturers to teach especially for engineering subjects. Therefore, lecturers of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Polytechnic Kuching has developed a website called "www.jomeksperimen.com". This website aims to help Diploma in Mechanical Engineering students for the DJJ30103 Strength of Materials course in understanding the experiments conducted in the laboratory through a variety of settings as variable parameters. The further aim of the project is to know the feedback of the students toward this website application. The results of the survey show that this website can help students improve their understanding in the implementation of experiments in the laboratory.

Abstract - A mobile application is a new technology used in the teaching and learning process in Malaysia. Recently, growth of smart phones and tablets has increased the size of the mobile application market. It opens up opportunities for new siswapreneurs to tap into the fast-growing mobile application market and requiring minimal capital. Our application is named NEWBIZZ and was developed by Firebase platform. Users of the NEWBIZZ application only need to download it on the Play Store. NEWBIZZ application is focused to produce product ideas with high demand in the market. It also facilitates promotional tasks such as copywriting, pictures of product, sales scripts and also have special reminders for siswapreneurs to consistently post to their social media profiles. NEWBIZZ covers the content of the syllabus for the MPU22012 Entrepreneurship and DPB5063 Digital Entrepreneurship Development. The development of NEWBIZZ is conducted to help students to get product ideas and run their start-up business in campus. Indirectly it can overcome problems in finding product ideas, promotion tools such as copywriting, pictures of product and sales scripts. From a survey, results has shown that the NEWBIZZ application is able to help almost 100% siswapreneurs to explore product ideas, 98% agreed that promotion tools such as copywriting is very helpful and 95.8% agreed this application help siswapreneurs to complete their assessment for courses MPU22012 Entrepreneurship and DPB5063 Digital Entrepreneurship Development. In conclusion, NEWBIZZ is useful for kickstarting start-up siswapreneurs in campus.

Abstract - Penelitian ini dirumuskan dari pemahaman teori Zimmerer yang menjelaskan inovasi merupakan solusi kreatif terhadap masalah yang ada. Masalah penelitian yang di kaji adalah reka bentuk jaket yang multifungsi yang sangat diperlukan untuk aktiviti riadah mahupun aktiviti lasak. Dari hasil pemerhatian, penemuan beberapa jaket yang ada dipasaran hanya sekadar pakaian luar yang melindungi badan dan ada yang berfungsi untuk simpanan barangan kecil sahaja. Namun reka bentuk jaket tersebut masih belum sepenuhnya mengatasi masalah yang ada. Berkaitan masalah penelitian ini rekaan hasilan rekabentuk jaket ke beg galas yang lasak dan pelbagai fungsi direka oleh penyelidik sebagai beg serbaguna untuk menyimpan peralatan atau bekalan yang dibawa bagi tujuan aktiviti perkelahan, mendaki gunung dan mengembara. Produk ini bersifat multifungsi dan ergonomik serta dititikberatkan ciri-ciri keselamatan dengan dijahit fabrik pantulan cahaya bagi keselamatan di waktu malam. Material jaket multifungsi adalah daripada fabrik yang kalis air yang boleh dipakai di waktu hujan dan panas mahupun pada waktu malam dan siang kerana fabriknya sangat sesuai untuk tubuh badan.

Abstract - Penularan wabak COVID-19 telah memberi impak kepada semua sektor di Malaysia yang menyebabkan berlakunya krisis ekonomi negara. Malahan ianya turut memberikan kesan kepada sektor pendidikan negara. Rentetan daripada krisis penularan Covid-19, pengkaji telah membangunkan satu aplikasi e-AE sebagai platform pelaksanaan proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran (PdP) secara dalam talian. Kajian yang dijalankan adalah bertujuan untuk mengenalpasti persepsi pelajar terhadap pembangunan aplikasi e-AE dari aspek kandungan aplikasi, antaramuka dan minat pelajar terhadap PdP dalam era Covid-19. Kajian berbentuk tinjauan ini menggunakan soal selidik sebagai instrumen dan data telah dianalisis menggunakan IBM SPSS. Dapatan daripada kajian ini menunjukkan tahap persepsi pelajar terhadap pembangunan aplikasi e-AE adalah positif di mana ini berada pada tahap tinggi dengan nilai purata skor min sebanyak 4.06. Ia menunjukkan bahawa aplikasi e-AE dapat membantu menarik minat terhadap pembelajaran semasa penularan wabak Covid-19. Justeru diharapkan pembangunan aplikasi e-AE ini dapat digunakan secara meluas dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran lebih-lebih lagi ketika penularan pandemik Covid-19.

Abstract - In the year of 2020, there are two main events that are very disruptive towards Earth’s ecosystem and human activities. The first event being Australian wildfires, declared as one of the “worst wildfire disasters in modern history”, scorched more than 46 million acres of land, destroyed homes to 1.25 billion animals and created massive air pollution around the world. The second event being the Coronavirus outbreak which devastated the whole world by halting normal activity and forcing in a “new normal” in which humans have to adapt to. In addition to these disasters, the world still has millions of tons of waste, especially plastics and recently, disposable masks, which have yet to be taken care of. Therefore, this research is made to propose the solution of reducing waste and improving air purity by recycling disposable masks and plastics to create Poly Bags and gardening tools in the movement of “Re;Mask, Re:Plant” for one human to plant one plant.

Abstract - Pembelajaran secara atas talian bukanlah sesuatu yang baharu dan asing di negara kita. Malahan, platform ini telah diguna pakai dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran (PdP) sejak lebih sedekad yang lalu. Pelbagai istilah yang telah digunapakai untuk menterjemahkan proses PdP ini antaranya; proses pembelajaran secara jarak jauh atas talian (PJJ) yang lebih dikenali sebagai online learning, e – learning dan pelbagai lagi. Setelah sekian lama, kini pembelajaran secara atas talian mula mencipta fenomena semula ekoran penularan wabak pandemik Covid-19 di mana Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi sepakat tiada lagi pembelajaran secara bersemuka di dalam kelas seperti sebelum ini dan semua sesi PdP hendaklah dilaksanakan secara atas talian sehingga tamat sesi persekolahan 2020 (untuk sekolah) dan sehingga KPT mengumumkan kemasukan semula pelajar ke kampus. Pelajar di semua peringkat kini kebanyakannya memerlukan capaian internet berkelajuan tinggi untuk memastikan mereka tidak ketinggalan di dalam proses PdP atas talian. inovasi ini dibangunkan bertujuan untuk melancarkan proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran (PdP) dan menyahut seruan kerajaan supaya rakyat bergerak menuju ke arah digitalisasi dalam usaha untuk merealisasikan inisiatif kerajaan digital ke arah negara pintar.Pelbagai platform digunakan untuk tujuan tersebut termasuk butang biru besar, zum, WebEx, google bertemu, pautan pasukan dan banyak lagi. Walau bagaimanapun, semua platform ini memerlukan akses internet berkelajuan tinggi untuk memastikan bahawa mereka tidak ketinggalan dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran atas talian. E-Cathetan (disebut sebagai a-cha-te-tan) yang diambil daripada perkataan bahasa jawa yang merujuk kepada nota secara atas talian atau nama komersialnya e-note namun kaedah untuk mengakses kepada nota ini sedikit berbeza daripada teknik yang diguna pakai sebelum ini di mana pelajar perlu memuat turunnya melalui medium yang diguna pakai oleh pengajar. E – Chatetan ini hanya memerlukan pelajar/ pengguna untuk mengimbas kod bar (QR code) menggunakan pengimbas kod bar (QR reader) dan mereka terus boleh mengaksesnya secara terus samada sebelum atau ketika sesi PdP sedang berlangsung.  Berdasarkan hasil yang ditunjukkan, dapat mengurangkan peruntukan perbelanjaan yang tinggi dan penggunaan data internet maksimum untuk mendapatkan akses proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Malahan ada juga yang berpendapat, nota dalam e-cathetan bersifat lebih interaktif dan infografik yang berjaya menarik minat mereka untuk membaca nota tersebut dan meningkatkan tahap pemahaman responden.

Abstract - Nowadays, tourists are more conscious of the carbon footprint that they left during travel. In this sense, it shows they are more concern and passionately showing their support towards green tourism. This paper highlighted the innovation of furniture products which is based on aircraft old tyre. In reality, none of the old aircraft tires was reused in the tourism industry, even though the major contribution of air travel is in the tourism sector. Currently, the old aircraft tires only reused for farm equipment such as tractors, backhoe, and wagon but most of it ended up as rubber mulch for playgrounds and sports fields. The main objective of this project is to promote sustainability effort, green tourism initiatives and reducing the negative human impact towards the environment by reusing of the old aircraft tyres into hotel furniture. The old aircraft tyres can be reassembled into various hotel furniture such as a coffee table, Ottoman, bookshelves, and umbrella stand. Apart from preserving the environment, this innovation is unique and able to attract tourist to stay in the hotel as the old tyres are being transformed into a high-quality and exclusive product from recycled items thus promoting green hotel concept. On the other hand, this project plays a vital role as value creation and help the hoteliers and tourists to appreciate and inculcate this sustainability concept and green tourism into their daily practice. Moreover, this innovation will give a benefit to the environment, airlines and hotel industry. Furthermore, it also profiting the local community with obtaining job opportunity to increase their economy by producing furniture from old airplane tyres.

ICrIPE 40/2021 -  Design and Fabrication of Food Strainer

Abstract - Malaysians and food are inseparable. Although food varieties are taken so seriously, yet food safety or hygienic are less concerned. According to Food Act 1983, besides hazards and frauds about foods, the preparation, handling, distribution and the quality plays vital role. Since pandemic has hit all the country in the whole world, almost everyone either in small scale or in large scale to gain income is doing the food business because of the retrenchment in almost all the industries. This contribution aims to report on the development, includes design and fabrication of a food strainer. The food strainer is innovated because of several problems that hawkers face during the food handling process. Their problems are it will take longer time to transfer foods that are boiled or blanched from the strainer to the packaging. The process is developing the product uses Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding. This research includes the consideration of design assisted by design tool (AutoCAD). The material used in the development of food strainer are stainless steel (SS) to avoid corrosion. The food strainer can take up to 700g weight in total and foods that can be used are Yong Tau Fu, noodles, bean sprouts, leafy vegetables and so on. The method used are Pugh method in obtaining the best design with the most criteria. Results of the study shows that the hawkers reduced their time and increase customer satisfaction by handling the packaging fast.

Abstract - Pendidikan merpakan hal yang terpenting bagi kehidupan kita, karena semakin tinggi pendidikan seseorang maka akan bisa manaikkan tingat kehidupan seseorang. Sekolah merupakan wadah untuk menimba ilmu dan tempat berkumpulnya siswa untuk belajar. Untuk mengetahui keberadaan sekolah tersebut, sekolah juga melakukan suatu promosi agar diketahui oleh masyarakat atau lebih tepatnya bagi calon siswa. Untuk medukung peduli dunia pendidikan salah satu yang peneliti lakukan agar sekolah SMK NKRI Binjai lebih dikenal oleh masyarakat.. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hasil visualisasi desain maskot SMK NKRI Binjai. Penelitian ini dilakukan di sekolah SMK NKRI Binjai dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, studi pustakas dan observasi. Tahapan dalam pembuatannya terlebih dahullu membuat rancangan visual, sktesa digital, dan GSM. Maskot yang dibuat memiliki 3 pose yang menciri khaskan tentang sekolah SMK NKRI, Hasil penelitian ini berupa desain maskot SMK NKRI Binjai dengan bentuk GSM, Perangka tlunak yang digunakan dalam pebuatan maskot dengan menggunakan Adobe Illustrator(AI), Pani Tool Sai dan Photoshop.

Abstract - Teknologi semakin berkembang dengan pesat dengan munculnya revolusi industri 4.0. Dengan teknologi semua kemudahan-kemudahan untuk melakuakan kegiatan menjadi cepat dan lancar. Hampir semua orang memiliki Gadet, Gadet bukan lagi merupakan barang mewah tetapi sudah bergerser fungsinya menjadi kebutuhan. Gadget banyak macamnya dari yang mahal hingga yang bisa dijangkau masyarakat menengah, dari yang sedikit aplikasinya hingga ke yang lebih lengkap, sehingga promosi Gadet yang ditawarkan banyak beredar baik secara langsung maupun secara tidak langsung (on line ). Tujuan dari penelitian ini dilaksanakan agar mengetahui minat konsumen setelah melihat informasi iklan secara on line terhadap pembelian Gadget. Analisis penelitian mengenai Iklan Gadget yang dibuat secara on line oleh produsen dapat kita ketahui besaran minat konsumen untuk membeli Gadge tersebut, dampak dan reaksi yang terjadi setelah melihat iklan secara on line ditayangakan di dunia maya. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti melakukan survei di daerah yang menjual Gadget secaraacak (random sampling). Peneliti akan memberikan quisioner berupa pertanyaan sebanyak 20 soal yang berhubungan dengan pertanyaan-pertanyaan mengenai iklan Gadet secara on line. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala Likertan  dan diharapakan hasil luaran nantinya berupa informasi mengenai minat beli konsumen setelah melihat iklan Gadet secara on line dan mempublikasikan jurnal ilmiah secaran nasional.

Abstract - Untuk mengetahui perubahan desain logo perusahan pada masa pademik Covid-19 terhadap persepsi konsumen pengukurnya tidaklah mudah. Namun seberapa besar akan persepsi konsumen itu dapat dinilai menggunakan metode statistik. Perubahan desain logo perusahan pada masa pademik Covid-19 dapat diketahui perlu atau tidaknya dalam melakukan perubahan desain logo perusahan pada masa pademik Covid-19. Konsumen dalam membeli produk  akankah melihat logo perusahaan atau tidak. Jika konsumen cenderung tidak melihat melakukan perubahan desain logo perusahan pada masa pademik Covid-19 sangat disayangkan, karena logo yang sering berubah-ubah sering membuat konsumen tidak loyal karena ketidaktahuan erubahan logo tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sejauhmana persepsi konsumen mengetahui perubahan desain logo perusahan pada masa pademik Covid-19 tersebut. Peneliti melakukan metode penelitian melalui survei dan studi pustaka. Pengujian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan 50 sampel yang berada disekitar kota Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan 2 variabel, yaitu variabel terikat dan varibel bebas. Variabel bebas yang digunakan adalah perubahan logo dan Covid-19 sedangkan varibel terikatnya adalah persepsi konsumen. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa persepsi konsumen terhadap perubahan desain logo perusahan pada masa pademik Covid-19 sangat tinggi. Dari 20 butir soal yang dibuat semuanya valid dan  perubahan desain logo perusahaan  tdak realibel sedangkan untuk Covis-19 dan persepsi konsumen  yang memiki reabilitas Dari soal yang diberikan ke konsumen pengaruh perubahan desain kogo perusahaan ada masa pademik Covid-19 terhadap persepsi konsumen sangat tinggi
