Nuremburg is well known as Toy towns. There are some good toyshops and markets. Especially in autumn and winter, there are a lot of Christmas markets.
Everyone, even German people must be surprised at old and beautiful town. The town is surrounded with castle walls and preserved beautiful rows of houses.
If you have a plan to visit PLAYMOBIL FUNPARK, it is the best idea to stay Nuremburg. Because very close to FUNPARK and you can enjoy sightseeing or shopping. There are lots of hotels and hostels.
SPIELZEUGMUSEUM, which is the center of the town, is small but interesting museum.
If you are interested in traditional antique toys, you can see all type of them. But these are regular exhibition and you can enjoy whenever you visit. So I'd like to talk about only this special exhibition.

The special exhibition room was full of old and new PLAYMOBILS. Everyone might shout for joy.
Needless to say, in the museum we cannot take any photos, BUT at that time, I had a digital camera not making click noise at all. So I tried to take snake shots.
Before PLAYMOBIL was born, Zeobra Brandstater made such kinds of toys. They are also tiny and lovely.
At first, in 70's, PLAYMOBIL
was sold as blister packages.
The left was an old space station and the right was new one. I think
old station is better.
How funny! A few famous artists tried to create works about PLAYMOBIL. The oil painting is sooo lovely.
Pretty and cute! They were pictures drawn by children all over the world.
It was said there are 1.5 billion children and adult PLAYMOBIL
lovers. What dreams do the children see at their beds? I have seen a lot
of dreams of PLAYMOBIL.
If I get children, they will start drawing PLAYMOBIL figures and I'll send the pictures to Zeobra Brandstater.
There was a video monitor and I could see interview with the designer
of figures,,Hans Beck,
(Of course you want to see him?) animated figures movie for TV commercial.
I thought it was so great exhibition that there are million or more people desire earnestly to see in the world. All curators in the world should consider to invite the exhibition.
