Dogwood buds dance. Wood winds play in spring. Cool sunlit days lengthen Lighting redbud's ballet. Birds gather twigs To new embrace eggs And to warm nestlings in their small nursery. Fuzzy bunnies cozy In a den made for five They suckle in the safety Of mother rabbit's care. Sheep graze quietly In new spring grass As lambs frolic gaily Over lush meadows. Chirps and quacks Arise from the pond. Downy ducklings waddle Beside swollen streams. Holding hands a couple Strolls a grassy knoll. Love and life continue And renewal begins. Catherine 4/10/03 |
