LOST IN NATURE
I remember long ago being lost in a
flower field,
The grass and blooms too high the true
path to yield,
But I wandered and gathered flowers that
smelt so very sweet,
And many a butterfly and small furry creature
did I meet.
I wandered until I came to dear old
bluebell hill,
Where every spring I went of the blossoms
to take my fill.
I could see my home past the stream past
the little gate
Where I often spied, still to come, my
eternal mate.
I ran home with my treasures arranged the
flowers with care,
And placed them by my sleeping gran by
her old rocking chair.
