BAPTISM
When we are baptized, promises we make
That the care of others upon us we will take,
Speak of the dear Master often, always be true,
Stand up, be valiant, that’s what we should do.
How well do we uphold that baptismal vow?
Just stop and look at yourselves right now,
Do we weep with those who sadly mourn?
Deep in our hearts are we truly reborn?
Do we proclaim the gospel, share His plan?
Do we really help everyone that we can?
Baptism is not just a record of our name,
But promise that His glory we’ll try and gain.
