Can you trust bet O bet?

This is not always an easy question to answer. As you know, we are not fans of the Curacao license as it doesn’t support customers in case of problems with a bookmaker or online casino. You’re on your own when it comes to resolving issues with your betting site.

We have read somewhere that bet O bet is in the process of applying for further licenses, which would be great if true.

In any case, we must judge bet O bet on its own merits as we usually do with cricket betting sites that only have this one license. Since they’ve been around for two years, we can be certain that they are not a rogue site as those tend to disappear much more quickly.

Mostly, bet O bet seems to be getting middling reviews. They have a few things that make them great, but there is room for improvement. Of course, we have also found negative customer reviews, which always raise red flags, but their numbers are few. That doesn’t invalidate those experiences the customers may have had, but they also don’t seem to be a regular occurrence.

Overall, we are satisfied that bet O bet is well-regulated and generally conducting themselves fairly.

What concerns us more regarding their trustworthiness are the punitive withdrawal conditions. It should not be necessary to wager your own deposit 5x before making a withdrawal or incur withdrawal fees based on how many times you did wager your withdrawal. That is very uncommon and takes things a lot farther than we have seen at other betting sites.

It doesn’t mean that bet O bet is acting in fraudulent ways, but they certainly don’t favour customers here.

Cricket betting and odds

Besides featuring soccer as the top sport in the list on the left-hand side, cricket is the sport that follows right below, which we appreciate. We appreciate even more the wide range of events that were available for betting in this section. Major events included:

• IPL
• The Ashes
• The Hundred (men’s and women’s)
• T20 Word Cup
• Test Series
• World Cup

Those events were featured at the top, but expanding the list further revealed many local tournaments as well. Such as:

• Hong Kong T20 Morning League
• Diamond Cricket League T10
• Big Bash Punjab T20
• Jafari Premier League

Indeed, when we reviewed bet O bet, there were a total of 96 cricket events around the world to bet on. If we had a single reason to recommend this bookmaker to you, this would be it.

Whilst the coverage of events was excellent, most matches didn’t have many pre-match betting options. Usually, there were only a handful at most, though things do change when a match goes live, and further betting options open up.

As usual, the bigger the event the more betting markets were available.

The available cricket odds were mostly competitive, especially for bigger events. Smaller events that are not widely covered didn’t get the greatest odds, however.

Other sports to bet on

Bet O bet offers a solid sportsbook with roughly two dozen sports to bet on. This includes tennis, basketball, baseball, water sports, American Football, rugby, horse racing and several niche sports as well. We were happy to see plenty of events in many of these categories and a good range of markets.

But as mentioned above, odds tend to be only competitive for the bigger leagues whilst they are on the lower end for smaller events and niche sports.

Live betting is generally very good as more markets are available, but don’t be disappointed when you find out that live streaming is not available at bet O bet. They do some good animations, but that’s it.

What else does bet O bet offer?

Bet O bet is more than a sportsbook. You will also find casino and live casino games here, TV games, virtual sports and other games such as scratch cards, casual games and video poker in a separate section.

The casino hosts games from some excellent providers such as NetEnt, Thunderkick, Quickspin, Red Tiger, Pragmatic Play, Playtech, ELK Studios and plenty of others. Hundreds of excellent slots and table games are available here.

Whilst you have the option to filter according to jackpot slots, the games we found here were not any that we knew. Even smaller jackpots such as Divine Fortune or Holmes and the Stolen Stones were not available here. And, of course, none of the bigger progressive jackpots that NetEnt or Playtech offer. That was our main disappointment here, though the casino is otherwise quite good.

Bet O bet has a separate section for promotions, which itself is sorted into sports and casino promotions. That makes things easy to find.

The maximum bonus conversion is 5x the awarded bonus. The wagering requirements are 10x the deposit and bonus, which you have 21 days to complete. Only single bets on odds of 1.5 or higher, or combo bets on odds of 2.5 or higher are eligible when completing the roll over requirements.

Welcome bonuses aside, bet O bet also offers reload bonuses, free spins, acca insurances and a refer-a-friend bonus. Whilst here are not a ton of bonuses available, they do seem to be a regular thing and conditions are not too bad.

Banking options

As is often the case, there is no separate banking page at bet O bet. We couldn’t find a list of available deposit and withdrawal methods anywhere, and there are only a few logos for banking options available at the bottom of the page. You can expect to be able to use the following methods here:

You will need to visit the cashier after registration to find further deposit and withdrawal options. Since bet O bet does accept INR as a currency, we expect that you will also be able to use UPI, PayTM, PhonePE and other Indian banking methods.

We mentioned before that withdrawals come with punitive conditions at bet O bet, which is not unusual in very new betting sites that want to protect themselves. But we have certainly never seen anything like this.

Unless you wager your deposit at least 5x, withdrawals will incur extra fees. For instance, if you wagered your deposit less than 3x, the fee is 6% of your withdrawal. Wagering your deposit 3 to 5x incurs a fee of 3% still.

Additionally, you can only withdraw up to $3,000 (or currency equivalent) per week and if you make a withdrawal request of less that €5, a fee of €5 is applied (which makes literally zero sense).

There is more, but you should read all this for yourself anyway. Needless to say, this does make us think twice about opening an account here.

Support

The customer support team at bet O bet is presumably available 24/7, though that doesn’t mean you will reach someone at any time via the live chat. When you open the live chat, you are first talking to a bot, and you will be given multiple language options as well. But when you type a question, you might not get a reply for a while.

There is a small FAQ section available, which is quite well done, and we would like to see it expanded. The terms and conditions are extensive and leave few questions unanswered. But any issues not covered here need to be addressed by the team. If all else fails, you will also be able to send an email.

Overall, the customer service team has not had the best reputation in the past, which we certainly hope has improved now.

Software

Bet O bet comes in a rather generic design. We have a top menu, which allows us to access the various sports betting and casino sections as well as promotions. The sportsbook has the classic left-hand side menu with all the sports you can bet on, and the bet slip is on the right-hand side. We do like that the bet slip isn’t taking up too much space, though.

The site does feel somewhat cluttered, however, but experienced punters won’t be too bothered as you will still be able to find your way around quickly and easily.

The design is still pleasing, mind you, and the black background and golden yellow highlights are easy on the eyes.

One minor nuisance we encountered was the time-out of the betting site. After a while we would always get a time-out window prompting us to refresh the page. This is not something we usually see at betting sites and we found it somewhat annoying.

The casino design is also more on the classic site and the only thing that bothered us here are the big tiles showcasing the games, which are almost touching edge to edge, meaning we are looking at a colourful wall of game tiles that are not easy to separate.

The mobile page resolves this somewhat as less space means a tighter layout, which is easier to use even though it means more scrolling.

Android users will also be happy to hear that an Android app is available for download. There is no app for iOS users at this time, however.

Conclusion and final thoughts

Bet O bet offers decent betting experience with excellent coverage of cricket events, reasonable odds, a bet builder, cashout options and various promotions. The casino is also a nice addition, even though it is lacking major jackpot games.

There isn’t much that we can find issue with at bet O bet and most of our suggestions for improvement are similar to many other betting sites we have seen. We’d love to see an expanded FAQ section and a separate banking page. Live streaming would definitely be a welcome addition as well.

Our main gripe is definitely with the withdrawal conditions, which seem very harsh. After all, most players do want to be able to withdraw their winnings eventually and not find themselves taking several ridiculous hurdles. Regardless of what bet O bet has to offer, this will be your main consideration when you decide to sign up here.
