UPDATES - May 20, 2009
"Captured!", a new comic book-style action picture, has been added to the Gallery, along with a new series of alternative style (for me), quasi-realistic images.
On April 4th, a short film, "The Bizarre and Wonderful Mind of Brent M. Parker" was added to the Animation and YouTube pages, as well as right here on the main page, but it was not noted here in updates.

"The Dam Breaks", a series of three images of my beaver character crying (for sorrow, for joy, and the two combined), has been added to the Gallery.
Also, as mentioned above, my art is now on display at the Allan Hancock College Student Center Gallery in Santa Maria, CA.

Also, special thanks to KIMBERLY GREEN for rescuing my computer (with which I create my art) from digital oblivion not once but twice this week.

The defunct BLOG link has been removed and a link to my YouTube page has been added. There, you can find art music videos not featured on the Animation page.

Following sudden and inexplicable difficulties in linking this site to my old gallery page at DeviantArt, a new temporary Gallery page has been set up at Photobucket, which will be used until an elaborate new gallery is completed.
Since the last update, a new image was added, "Mother Easter Bunny".
Also, watch for this shift from this URL to the new "BrentMParker.com".

Four new works were added to the DeviantArt Gallery since the last update: the logos for my graphic novel projects, "Camo" and "Escapia" (appearing together in one picture), a new image "Kangaroo Didgeridoo Boogaloo", and an image of "Just the Koala" which appeared in the previous image.

Since the last update, two new works were added to the DeviantArt Gallery : a vertical triptych called "Nightmares Shared" and an image that incorporates work in crayon with my usual pencil and Photoshop, "Alternate Unicorns".
A new video about how I create my artwork, focusing on the above pieces, has been added to the Animation Page , and also appears right here on the Front Page.

Three more works were added to the DeviantArt Gallery since the last update, I just neglected to note them here. They are Page Five of the "Camo" graphic novel, and two pictures: the wacky/creepy "Mongoose Werecobra" and "Ballad's First Mandolin", in which a happy gryphon musician gets a gift for his "hatching day".
Speaking of which, June 7th is my 26th birthday! :)
The videos on the Animation Page have been embedded into the page via YouTube, (meaning that you can view them right in the page, without downloading).

Since the last update, two new pieces of artwork have been added to the DeviantArt Gallery - the superhero-alterego exploring "Identifying", and "The Strange Striped Challenger", which features characters from my "Camo" graphic novel project.
And speaking of "Camo", a new page of the graphic novel has been added to the DeviantArt Gallery and the Fiction Page. Mini update - another page was added on March 10th.

Three new pieces of artwork have been added to the DeviantArt Gallery since the last update: a fantasy picture featuring a dracophoenix and a gryphon, "Fire and Music", a close up of the gryphon and a close up of the background scenery.

The new FICTION page has been added, featuring the first two pages of my graphic novel project about tigers, "Camo", and the short fantasy play, "The Elven Fiancee". Both are also featured on the (primarily visual) DeviantArt Gallery and the "Camo" pages are also up on the Blog Page.
A new humorous poem, "Comments On Comments On Comments", has been added to the Poetry Page and a recording of myself reading it has been added to the Sound Page.

A new image has been added to the DeviantArt Gallery, "Lycanthropic Triptych" (descriptive title: "She-werewolf in 3 forms").
"The Elven Fiancee", short play about the same character from the "Lycanthropic" picture the has also been added to the DeviantArt Gallery,(the gallery consists mostly, but not entirely, of visual art). The play will eventually be added to a Drama or Fiction page when I have more of such material to go there. In the meantime, here's a direct link - "The Elven Fiancee" play.
Three updates have been made to the BLOG page, including two journal-style updates, and a just-for-fun fantasy voice cast list for my graphic novel project.

A new BLOG page has been added. Currently on the blog are a biography of myself with photos, and an illustrated synopsis of my graphic novel project, "Camo".
There are also two new pictures up at the DeviantArt Gallery, the 1930's-cartoon style "Crazy Cartoonifornia Dreamin'" and a new "Camo" tiger pic, "Y.C.'s Farewell".

The heiroglyphic - style "Equestrius and Enigmatra (Centaur and Sphinx)"; "Camo's Calm Confrontation", in which two tigers from my graphic novel project "Camo" face off; and an animated icon of Spritz the tiger cub, which you can also see right here on this page on either side of the "UPDATES" sign above.

A new poem, "Nebulous Nocturne", was added to the newly updated Poetry Page . Two other poems featured elsewhere on the site, but previously not on the Poetry page were also added. They are "Unheralded Central Coast Airshow", which was featured on the Sound Page and "Ruminant", which already appeared on the primarily visual art-related DeviantArt Gallery.

On June 21, a new piece of surreal artwork, "Rabbit Looks Back" (a.k.a. "two-faced rabbit") was added to the DeviantArt Gallery .
Also, I'll be the featured artist at the 1st Anniversary Celebration of "The Bookworm", an independent bookstore here in Santa Maria, CA. The event will take place on Saturday, July 15, from 1 - 4 p.m. Prints of my artwork in various sizes will be for sale, and of course I'll be there, live and in person. The event will also include live music and a visit from "Mother Goose" for the kids.
