Personal Stuff:-

I'm a housewife and mum, currently living in NE Scotland, but originally from the Isle of Man. I am married to Alex, a subsea engineer working abroad, and we have three daughters aged 4, 6 and 10.

My Studies:-

I am presently studying with the Open University and hope to eventually to gain an honours degree in IT and Computing -I'm a born optimist! I successfully completed THD204, IT and Society, last year and am attempting T171, T293 and T396 this year. Whether this is optimism or insanity only time will tell but I know I wouldn't have got this far without all the help and support of my fellow students.

Hobbies and Interests:-

My 'spare time' nowadays seems to hardly exist and if I do get a moment I mainly like to relax. My prescription for this depends on the mood but usually consists of testing real ale, new exotic cocktails or whatever bottle of plonk happens to be sitting in the fridge at the time! I also enjoy reading, writing, talking incessantly, arguing with politicians on the TV, going for long walks and staring at the sea for hours, particularly when it's stormy.
