Firecrackers-
toilet paper rolls or paper towel rolls
wrapping paper or printed paper with designs
dried beans or rice
Strips of cut paper or curling ribbon

Place the roll on the paper and cut enough of the paper to wrap around the roll and enough on the ends to twist and tie. Have the kids wipe some glue on the roll and wrap the paper around it and press. Stuff the paper strips or curling ribbon into one end and twist the paper and tie some string or a twist tie around it. In the untied end pour the beans or rice into the roll and twist and tie like the other end.

Dragon1-
paper egg cartons
paint
yarn
construction paper
odds and ends to add to your dragon
(paper strips, curling ribbon, sequins, glitter, ect.)

Cut the carton into the individual cups. Punch two holes into the cup at the top of the cup. Give each child four of the cups one for the head and three for the body. Have them decorate the head and body pieces the way they want then give them the yarn and have them cut it into three pieces to tie their body and head together using the holes punched into them. They can stick a red pipe cleaner or paper strip into the hole at the front of the head for the tongue.

Dragon2-
brown paper lunch bags (3 per child)
paper plate (1 per child)
plastic drinking cup (1 per child)
newspapers
craft sticks (2 per child)
odds and ends decorations

Have the kids take their newspaper and tear it into strips then they take the strips and stuff the brown paper bags. Tie the ends of the bags close. Glue the bags together end to end and decorate them this is the dragon body.
Take the cup and glue it in the center of the paper plate and decorate this as the dragon's head glue it to the paper bags. Glue a craft stick to the bottom of the head and on the last paper bag this is so they can make their dragons dance.
