| Crafts: Flowers- you will need- green pipecleaners and green craft foam netting m&m's, skittles, whatever kind of candy you like 1. Cut leaf shapes from the foam 2. Take the netting and cut a 3-4" circle and place a small amount of candy in the center 3. Take one green pipecleaner and start twisting it around another one. Add the leaf shapes as you go up the stem. Keep adding the pipecleaners as needed. 4. At the top add two leaves. 5. Pick up the circle of netting with candy and twist it closed forming a small pouch. 6. Place on the top with the two leaves and twist with the pipecleaners forming the flower. Teapot pins- hardening dough/clay pin backs 1. Make a recipe of the dough/clay. 2. Give each child a small amount 3. Have them form it into a teapot shape 4. Let dry and paint 5. Hot glue the pin backs to the back of the teapots Chess set- hardening dough/clay chess board 1. Make the dough/clay 2. Have the kids form the pieces King of Hearts/Spades(kings) Queen of Hearts/Spades(queens) Jacks(knights) Mad Hatters(bishops) March Hares(rooks) flowers(pawns) 3. Let them dry and then paint 4. Enjoy a game of chess |

| Writing: Silliest Rhymes/Riddles- Have the kids come up with their own rhymes and riddles the sillier the better. Teapot Book- Make a teapot shape book write What would you eat at a Mad Hatters' Tea-Party? or What kind of tea do you like? Journal Page Starters: What would I do in Wonderland? What kind of shapes I see in the clouds? What would flowers say/sing if they could talk? Why does the Cheshire Cat smile all the time? |
