Angelic Layer
This be the Angelic Layer section of my site!! One of CLAMP's many great works. I'm not sure if it's shonen or shojo, but that's ok! Angelic Layer is the story of a 12 year old girl, Suzuhara Misaki, moving to Tokyo to live with her aunt. When she first steps off the train, she hears loud cheering from people crowded around a building with a huge TV on it. She wanders over to it, and begins to watch as two people, one dressed in white, the other in brown, fight each other. She's mesmerized by the white one, and asks two little children what's going on. They say it's a game called Angelic Layer. She keeps watching the fight, and to her surprise, the white one wins, despite her small size. This was Misaki's first encounter with a game she would soon come to love.
