Festive ruler
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
The only creatures awake were Angel and a mouse;
His latest case as usual was linked with Wolfram and Hart,
So he was going through the clues to get a head start'

mouse
Cordy was out partying at a local night club
Doyle was drinking Guinness down at the pub;
Which left Angel home alone with his library of books,
Researching a variety of demons to help him catch the crooks,

Christmassy scene
When out on the street there arose such a clatter,
Angel ran up the stairs to see what was the matter,
Over to the window he flew like a flash,
Pulled up the blind and threw up the sash.

Snowman
The moon reflected brightly on the new-fallen snow
Gave lustre of mid-day to objects below,
When to Angel's astonishment what should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer.

Christmas tree
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
Angel realized immediately it must be St. Nick
More rapid than the eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name

Wreath
"Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On Comet! on Cupid! on, Donder and Blitzen!
Go on up to the roof! we can land by the wall!
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"

Rudolf
And then, in a twinkling, Angel heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
Angel went back down the stairs and as he turned around,
Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.

Santa coming down chimney
He was dressed in red and white from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all covered in ashes and soot;
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed like a bowl full of jelly.

Laughing Santa
He spoke not a word, but pulled out of his sack,
An array of new weapons all shiny and black,
And laying a finger aside of his nose,
He gave Angel a nod, and up the chimney he rose;

Presents
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like a guided missile.
But Angel heard him exclaim. as he rode out of site,
"Happy Christmas To All, And To All a Good-Night!"
