Chapter 9 Back at Willow's and Buffy's dorm sad music could be heard through the door. Riley heard Jessica Simpson's, "I wanna love you forever" and faint speech who he figured was Buffy. In a tear streaked voice, Riley heard Buffy say, "Well we already accomplished this Angel. I already love you forever, so now-" Buffy was caught in talking to herself and listening to the music that the soft knock at the door brought her back to reality. "Who is it now?" She asked herself as she swivelled off the bed and put on her fuzzy slippers. Before walking to the door Buffy glanced in the mirror making sure she looked suitable to answer it. She was wearing a pair of old navy baggy P.J. pants with a gray sweatshirt and her hair was pulled back. She was not in the mood for company. Another knock came from the door. Buffy went over to her radio and turned off her Cd player and walked to the door. With a twist of the door knob she opened it to reveal Riley. "Oh hi Ril-" Before she could even finish her half hearted greeting Riley had pulled her into a passionate kiss. Buffy was so shocked she just stood there. Riley realized that his kiss was not being returned so he tried harder and that was all it took for Buffy to get pissed. With no effort, she pushed him away and Riley thought she was just playing hard to get so he pulled her closer. Buffy felt his tongue pry open her mouth and in disgust she pushed him against the wall. Riley looked up in surprise. "Buffy what was that all about? I was trying to cheer you up to forget about you dog and this is my thanks?" Buffy shook her head. "Ugh Riley just come in and sit down we need to talk." Under her breath she cursed him out closing the door behind them. "Now to get rid of him and get my love back." Buffy said to herself. *~* Willow shivered and pulled her coat tighter to her body. "You want me to put the top up?" asked Angel. "No, I'm good, the air feels nice." They were in Angel's car driving to Buffy and her dorm room. Angel was going to tell Buffy about their lost day and hopefully when Willow was done with him, he would be asking Buffy for her forgiveness and to continue their relationship. "So Angel how have you been?" Willow asked. With a weird look Angel replied, "Um fine I know work with Cordelia and her boyfriend Doyle." "Oh, that's nice." Now thought Willow time to go in for the kill, thought Willow. "Ok, listen Angel, I'm going to get rid of the annoying small talk and cut to the chase. If you give me any of the "We can't be together, she needs a normal life" crap, I'll stake you right here." This was a sighed of Willow that Angel had never seen and didn't say anything he let her continue, "Listen, Buffy has if you want to call him that a boyfriend his name is Riley he-" "Willow I wan-" Angel cut Willow off only to be cut off by her. "Will you let me finish?! As I was saying...Riley is well a jackass. Ok he is extremely dense and boring! He told me that he believes Buffy and him are soulmates! Little does he know that she doesn't even like him. Buffy is lonely and sad. She's not her happy Buffy self ever since you left her. The only reason she is with Riley is because she believes she will make you happy if she fills in your request for a normal life. Now I refuse for both of you to make yourselves upset any longer it ends tonight! You two will be together by tomorrow and well screw the curse I will find something to erase the clause, that's not a problem anymore. I will not let this go on any longer you both are acting quite stupid!" Angel wanted this so much but the mature side of him started to protest. "Angel look at me! See resolve face!" With that Angel knew that it wasn't worth arguing with. She had "Resolve face" and he knew he would lose.Angle gave in with the most ecstatic feeling in the world. Chapter 10 "So that's why we can't do this anymore. I'm so sorry Riley but my heart is only for Angel." Buffy had spent the last half hour telling Riley not everything about Angel and what they shared. She had told Riley that it was over but he wasn't taking the news well. Buffy looked down at her slippers then at the ceiling, and then at the clock. "Oh 11;00" she said to herself. She was no longer listening to Riley and his theory on how they were meant for each other, Buffy knew what she wanted and she was going to get it. A knock at the door brought Buffy out of her thoughts and Riley to shut up. "Who is that?" Riley asked as if she planned for a visitor. "Like I know." Buffy got up and went to the door. As she was about to open the door she got a very weird sense that she didn't get anymore. Her spider senses were acting up and Buffy glanced at the stake near the door. As she opened the door all the air escaped her lungs and Buffy was about to faint. The only thing that held her up was the person at the door. Buffy could hardly get the words out of her mouth due to the lack of oxygen. "Ang-Angel!" A little cry escaped her throat and she collapsed. As soon as Angel saw her about to collapse his strong arms were around her. "God I will never hurt her again." Angel told himself. "Angel your...It's you." Buffy was gaining her control slowly. Angel helped Buffy stand. She looked like a beautiful Goddess to him. His Goddess. "Yea baby, I'm here don't worry." Before Buffy could even remember that Riley was in the room never mind the on the Earth and Willow was at the door behind Angel, a loud crack was heard as Riley's fist made contact with Angel's cheek. "Angel! Oh my God Riley! What the Hell!" A small growl passed Angel's lips and both Willow and Buffy knew that Angel was trying very hard to suppress the demon inside. "Get out! Now." Buffy was furious and reaching for her stake, she didn't care if Riley was human. "Riley! Leave now." Willow was now in the doorway by Angel,and Buffy was surprised she was against Riley. Riley looked up at the two girls. "What are you all crazy? He is the one who left and hurt you Buffy, I'm just sticking up for you! You're all crazy to take his side. I'm leaving I hope your both very happy together. Oh and Buffy, don't come crying to me when he leaves you again." And with that Riley stormed away but not before Buffy got in her last words. "Oh yea?! Screw off! You were nothing but a meer distraction for awhile, then I realized what I need and wanted! You farmboy can go screw off!" Riley gave them all one last disgusted look and than walked away from all of their lives. After a while of silence Willow let ou a deep breath. "Well that was something...Oh yea well I'm going out to go get you that cappuccino I promised you and when I get back you two better have talked everything out and there better be some serious making out!" And with that a happy Willow walked out closing the door behind her leaving two very stunned reunited, lovers. Epilogue Dear Diary, Well it's been 3 days since the last time I wrote, since my dreams and everything has changed. I am now whole and back to being the old happy Buffy that I once used to be. I owe everything to Willow. I was a little pissed when she heard my dream speaking she told Giles and they did the research thing, but I'm happy they did. They got Angel to come and Willow made him see that we were both misarable and got us back together with a little help from Willow's "resolve face". Everything Is almost perfect. I'm happy and I have Angel. The only thing that would make it all perfect if Angel had no clause and if he could see the sun again, but I don't care about that I'll take him anyway I can get him. Well Riley (ugh) he still thinks that he can get me back yea uh huh sure when the Hellmouth freezes over. That moron I can't believe he hit Angel! Too bad Angel didn't vamp out. Willow told me about her evil thoughts of letting Spike tourcher Riley or bringing him to the cemetery for a newbie vamp. Oh well. I can't wait Angel told me one of these days we're going to go out to dinner in LA with Cordelia and Doyle. They make such a cute couple. For once I think cupid,and maybe fate is similing down on me for a change. - Buffy Buffy closed her Journal and locked it putting it in her drawer. It was 12:00 and she was exshausted from patrolling. Buffy rolled over to see that Willow was already in a deep sleep. She owed everything to Willow and she would always be thankful. Turning over Buffy closed her eyes welcoming the pleasent dreams of Angel to come. The End
