Chapter 1 - How it all started... Willow's house 2:33 pm The phone rang. Willow rushed to answer it. She had the irrational fear that if she didn't answer the phone immediately, then the person on the other end would think she was ignoring them. She didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings... "Hello?" "Hey, Will!" came the cheery voice on the other end. "Hi, Buffy." "Listen, the Gang's gonna be at the Bronze tonight, you coming?" "Yeah, sure, what time?" "Around about eight?" Willow agreed and hung up the phone. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* The Bronze 7:56 pm Willow entered the Bronze and made her way over to the Gang's usual table. She saw Buffy with Riley, Xander with Anya, and Spike. Her Spike. They'd been dating for a year now, and they still couldn't get enough of each other. He'd saved her from one of those fiery demon thingys, and then went back to his place... She made her way to the table, and gave Spike a tender kiss before sitting down next to him. "Hi, guys." She greeted everyone. "What's going on?" She asked nervously. They were all grinning at her. Spike answered, "Just wait a minute, Pet." Just as Buffy discreetly signalled the announcer to begin... Willow noticed a man going up on stage... "Hey everyone, can I have your attention, please?" Everyone in the Bronze stopped to watch him. "Could everyone on the dance floor please move to the edge or return to your tables. Tonight, we have a special event...would Willow Rosenburg step onto the dance floor, please?" The dancers all moved as everyone looked around for Willow. Willow looked at the man on stage, and then her friends, in panic. She started to stutter. "Ah...I...umm, huh?" Spike gently took her hand and led her to the centre of the dancefloor. Willow never noticed what he was holding in his hand. She was still too busy panicking. A spotlight was trained on them as the man on stage began to speak once again. "For those of you who don't know, this young lady is Willow and with her is her boyfriend, Spike. Now, Spike here has something to say to Willow, as well as a gift for her. Spike?" Spike got down on one knee in front of Willow. Everyone gasped. Then, unexpectedly, he held up a fluffy pink teddy bear, and said..."Willow, will you marry me?" he grinned. Willow looked confused. She looked at the teddy bear, and then at him, then answered, "You'll give me a teddy bear if I marry you?" Spike's grin widened. He removed the lid from the box the bear was holding. She hadn't noticed that. Inside was a beautiful ring with a ruby heart. Willow looked embarrassed when everyone laughed, "Oh." Willow once again looked at Spike, then at the teddy bear, then at the ring, then at the teddy bear again. Looking torn, she asked him, "Can I just keep the teddy bear?" Everyone, including the Scooby Gang, gasped, shocked. Spike paled. How much paler can a vampire get? Then Willow giggled. Why, that little minx, Spike thought. Willow grabbed the teddy bear, and yelled, "Of course I'll marry you, you idiot!" Spike's grin returned, wider than ever. As evryone applauded the couple, and shouted their congratulations, Spike picked up his Red in a fireman's hold and stalked out of the Bronze grinning while Willow couldn't stop giggling... *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Chapter 2 - The Wedding Two months later. Buffy, as Maid-of-Honour, made her way down the aisle, thinking of how she wanted a wedding like this one day. She stopped at the altar, taking her place, but she couldn't keep her eyes from Spike's best man...Angel. Spike's attention was on his Willow. He sighed. How could he have gotten so lucky? Especially since he didn't have his soul. He loved her more than he had ever loved Dru. He also knew that the day Willow died, would be the day he said goodbye to this world... Angel looked at the bride, then imagined it was Buffy. He wished that he had never left her. Just being around her was better than being so far away... Willow only had eyes for Spike as she walked down the aisle. She was marrying the man she loved... well, vampire, anyway. The church was packed. Everyone was happy, and it didn't even matter that the Groom's side was filled with vampires and other demons... Willow stopped when she reached Spike's side. He held out his hand to her. She gladly took it. The rest of the ceremony was a blur... *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Chapter 3 - The Reception An hour later. Once again, they were all in the Bronze. It seemed fitting that they held the reception there... Spike and Willow were enjoying the first dance, until they heard arguing coming from the Head Table, their table. Sitting there were Buffy and Riley, Cordelia and Angel, Xander and Anya. Cordy and Angel were only sitting together because neither of them had brought dates. Riley was looking at Buffy furiously. Angel had just asked her to dance, and she had accepted. It was painfully obvious that Riley wasn't going to ask. He'd only seen the mark on her neck two days ago. She had always worn clothing that covered it up. Riley had known that Angel was a vampire, and hated sitting at the same table. But he had put two and two together when he witnessed the vampire's eyes heat up and he gasped when he saw the scar on Buffy's neck. Riley got up and walked out... Still dancing, Spike and Willow watched Buffy and Angel join them dancing. The bride and groom hoped that their friends would finally get back together. Spike whispered something to his wife as they spotted the other couple necking while dancing. Willow motioned them over. She hinted to Buffy and Angel, "You know, you two are mature adults, why don't you go up to Lover's Lane. It's very...umm, private.." Willow giggled. Spike grinned. Buffy and Angel looked at each other, then headed out the door... *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Epilogue Spike carried Willow over the threshold. He was very old fashioned. As he placed his bride gently onto their new waterbed, she said, "This is the first night of the rest of our lives..." Spike just grinned as he snapped off the lamp... The End![]()
