Sunnydale Cemetary One Week Later "This...is what...you get...for ruining my life," Buffy said in between kicks. The vampire fell to the ground and Buffy plunged the stake in his heart. "Die hard," she muttered. She brushed herself off and returned to her seat on a gravestone. She soon returned to her thoughts on Angel. "God, I miss him!" she thought desperately. And, oh, boy, did she miss him. *'Cause every day I'm not with you I'm missing you like crazy I need for you to...* All she wanted was to be with him. She missed him like crazy and she knew he felt the same way. "He'll come back for me," she whispered to herself. She repeated it like a mantra. In her mind, she thought, that if she wished hard enough that he'd come back. A silly thought, true. But what else was there for her to do? *If you must know the truth, boy I'm nothing without you* She was nothing without him. She knew it and she was sure that her friends thought it, too. They'd see the tears in her eyes and they'd pretend like they didn't know what they were for. They wouldn't say anything because they were afraid they'd upset her. "Oh, God," she said aloud. Gazing up at the stars, wondering if he could hear her all the way in Los Angeles, she whispered, "I love you, Angel." He walked over behind her and gazed at her body that was shaking with sobs. It took all of his strength not to cry himself. Slowly, he knelt down beside her and placed a hand on her shoulder, causing her to jump out of her skin. "A - Angel?" "Hey," he said, rather nervously. A moment of silence. Then Buffy threw her arms around him and buried her face in his chest. He held her and let her cry. "I'm sorry, Buffy. I know I shouldn't have come back, but I missed you and I felt like I was going insane without you," he whispered into her hair. "I missed you," she replied through her tears. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, Buffy. I shouldn't be here. I should let you move on, but I can't. I love you." Buffy lifted her tear stained face up to his. "You do?" she asked softly. Angel laughed. "What, did you think I stopped?" She didn't answer. She just let the tears fall down her face. "Will you forgive me? Please?" the vampire asked. Buffy's answer was a passionate kiss. And she held onto him...swearing she'd never let him go.
