1. PASQUALE (IGNOTO) and FILOMENA¹ CURIA. had one child.  It was common in Italy to give an illegitimate child a last name such as Stella.  Vincenzo's parents are  listed as Ignoto and Filomena Curia his marriage certificate.  His Social Security Card application lists his father's name as Pasquale Stella and his birth place as Longobucco.  No birth certificate is found for him in Longobucco, and no death record for Filomena Curia is found in Longobucco either.  Vincenzo's uncle Serafino Stella, a mason from Cosenza, immigrated to the U.S.A. with Lucrezia and the children; whether this is Pasquale or Filomena's brother is not known at this time.  Whether the family originates from the city or province of Cosenza is not known at this time.

She was born December 23, 1876 in Italy, and died November 04, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York.
