THE NEW TESTAMENT TOP 20
The stories in the New Testament took place after Jesus was born. The
last four stories in this list are stories that Jesus Himself told.

Christmas. The story of the angel and Mary, Jesus' birth
in a stable in Bethlehem, the shepherds and the wise men. Luke
2:1-20 ; Matthew 1:18-2:12. |

Jesus as a boy. Jesus aged twelve, goes missing in
Jerusalem. Luke 2:41-52. |
| 3 |
Jesus is tempted. After Jesus is baptised, he spends 40
days in the wilderness, where the Devil tries to tempt him. Luke
3:12-23 ; 4:1- 13. |
| 4 |
The wedding at Cana. The wedding guests drink all the
wine before the party is over. John 2:1-11. |
| 5 |
The four friends. In Capernaum, four friends carry a sick
man on a stretcher to be healed by Jesus. But the door is blocked by
people. What can they do? |
| 6 |
Storm at Sea. Jesus is asleep in a boat on the sea of
Galilee, when a violent storm blows up. Mark 5:35-41. |

Feeding of the 5,000. Near Bethsaida, a picnic that one
boy will never forget. John 6:1-15. |

Jarrus and his daughter. In Cappernaum, Juirus' daughter
becomes very ill and dies. Jairus rushes to find Jesus. Luke
8:41-56. |

Martha and Mary. What happens when two sisters invite
Jesus for a meal at their house in Bethany. Luke 10:38-42. |

Zacchaeus up a tree. In Jericho, Zacchaeus can't see over
the heads of the crowd. Then he has a bright idea. Luke 19:1-10. |

The Good Samaritan. A traveller is mugged on a mountain
road from Jerusalem to Jericho, but nobody stops to help him. Luke
10:25-37. |

The lost son. Jesus' story of a son who left home in
search of a good time. Luke 15:11-32. |

The lost sheep. A farmer with 100 sheep finds that one
sheep is missing. Luke 15:1-7. |
| 14 |
The two houses. A man builds a house on sand. Another man
builds a house on rock. The rains come. Matthew 7:24-29. |
| 15 |
Palm Sunday. Jesus rides into jerusalem on a donkey. Mark
11:1-11. |
| 16 |
The Last Supper. Jesus eats his last meal in Jerusalem
with his friends. It has to be done in secret. Mark 14:12-26. |
| 17 |
Jesus is betrayed and killed. Judas gives Jesus away to
his enemies. Jesus is put on trial, and crucified outside Jerusalem.

Jesus rises again. The events of this exciting day start
in a garden at dawn, in Jerusalem, Luke 24:1-49. |

Flames of fire. Jerusalem, the day the Christian Church
began. Acts 2:1-41. |

Paul and the blinding light. Paul (who at that time was
known as Saul) sets off from Jerusalem for Damascus, with plans to
arrest every Christian. But Jesus has his own plans for Paul. Acts
9:1-30. |
