Sunnydale - Land of the Slayer
We enter the RPG at a point when Angel has been away for some time (S5). Buffy is in a relationship with Riley, and things are beginning to heat up between the two. Although Riley realizes that she will always have a place for Angel in her heart, something that Riley can't ever take away or replace.
The initiative is non-existent in the RPG, as we join it after the defeat of Adam. Maggie Walsh lectures psychology at the university, a course which Buffy and Willow still take. Adam did not kill her like in the show, instead she was forced to join forces in the defeat of Adam, but Buffy (and Giles) still do not trust her. Forrest is alive and well and is still human. He is currently out of work due to there being no Initiative, and still does not like Buffy that much. Riley continues as a TA at the university until he finds a new job (you choose). Giles has the magic shop and is helped to run it by Anya, just like in the show. Anya is with Xander and they are very much in love, although she still has her dry sense of wit. Willow is straight and is with Oz, but Willow is very much good friends with Tara in her witchery (Tara's sexuality is very much up to the person playing her). It must also be noted that Oz has full control over his wolf metamorphosis. When he returned from his journey, he got back together with Willow.
Joyce is well and has no tumor in her head. Dawn is unaware that she is the key, as Buffy has still to tell her, and Glory is still new to the context of the story development.
Harmony is in town with her "minions", but Spike wants nothing to do with her, as he got the chip removed from his head and is enjoying resuming his killing ways. Giles is fully reinstated as Watcher and remains close with the Scooby-Gang. Willow has now managed to de-rat Amy, and she is part of the scooby gang. Amy makes up a trio a witches with Willow and Tara...

Los Angeles - City of Angel

We start in Los Angeles when Angel is walking the fine line between his destiny and darkness. After the dramatic news about his sire being brought back from the netherworld, he finds himself caught up in the moment. His sire is human, has a soul. His desire for her grows each day, as he socializes less with Cordelia, Gunn and Wesley. Doyles death is still very much apparent an is one of the main contributing factors to Angel's disorientation. Whistler hears of his prodigy treading the fine line of darkness and tries to talk some sense into Angel. Faith is living the high life in Los Angeles. She too is walking the fine line of evil and good (consider the "Sanctuary" stage of Faith development)
Lindsey and Lilah are both Junior partners at W&H and Holland is still alive. Angel is still their main contract, and will stop at nothing to try and 'turn' him through the use of Darla. Darla finds comfort with Angel, who wants nothing more than help her adjust to being a human. Angel's obsession with Darla gradually causes him to ignore his calling, as he grows more distant from his normal self.
Anne runs the shelter. Angel has helped her in the past, and has just learned that she knew Buffy and knew where her name came from. Angel's harsh reminder of his past love, causes him to reconsider the rules of how things should be played.
The "black beauty" Drusilla arrives in Los Angeles and is almost recruited by W&H, but instead she killed the lawyers that she was in talk with. Kate despises Angel and every vampire, as we adjoin the story after her father has been killed.
ANGEL IS A COMPLEX CHARACTER AT THIS STAGE, AND ITS HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH DARLA THAT WILL DETERMINE ANY FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS
I would love it if everyone wanted ONE character in Los Angeles and ONE character in Sunnydale. A maximum of THREE CHARACTERS is advised, but temporary chars are perfectly fine until I find replacements. I am not a massive subscriber to made-ups, but send me a profile and I'll let you know...
