Okay, this is tricky. Stem cells are cells that haven't formed enough to make a specific type of cell, meaning they could turn into anything. These cells are used for research of cures for dangerous diseases (like cancer), and we *mostly* obtain them by using lab-produced embryo stem cells. However, the (cheaper) adult stem cells can be used, but they're much harder to work with.
I think that we should continue funding stem cell research. There are 64 cells currently being studied nationwide, and only a few *less than 10* are actually useful in such research. They're used to find diseases like cancers and their causes, and if such research will help save millions of lives in the future, then I openly support the funding. The private funding the research has isn't enough. Some say it is immoral because the scientists are 'killing the embryo' when in other terms, it was lab-produced, and it's not considered killing. I don't like the concept of killing the embryos *which are just a few cells at the time of study* but I think it's worth it.
