Okay, I do think that there are many teens out there that are good drivers, but I think that the California law of having teenagers driving at 15 1/2 is much too young. *California state law says that at 15 1/2, you can get a permit, at 16, you can get a licence, but there can't be other ppl in the car under 25, and then 16 1/2 can get a full licence.* I don't think that at 15 1/2 that teenagers fully comprehend the huge killer machine they're navigating. Sure, some really do, and I have some friends that are really good drivers, but I think that too many accidents happen because of reckless/careless teenage drivers. *not that all accidents happen because of teenagers* A better age for teenage drivers could be -dundundun- 18 because that's when most people go off to college, and so I think that at 17 1/2, someone could get a licence and be fine by the time they make it to college, where driving is sometimes necessary.
