I believe in the death penalty. Don't pull "Thou shalt not kill" on me, because that's a misinterpretation. It truly translates into "Thou shalt not murder." There is also a place in the Bible where capital crimes are listed. God Himself killed people who did wrong. The only reason we have mortal lives is because of Adam and Eve's first sin, aka the Original Sin. *think forbidden fruit* He condemned us all to die because of a sin.
Also, don't try to pull the inalienable rights on me with the whole "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness." If you kill someone, you took their life, therefore forfeiting your own. If someone were to kill your best friend, I know darned well that you wouldn't want them to live. I wouldn't either. Killing is one of those crimes that deserves death. I know I may sound a bit cruel and bold, but this is what I truly believe.
