I think that our technological advances are superb, and the fact that we've got so far as to be able to clone a living thing is fascinating, but I think that we should fall short of cloning humans. Think of it; it's like another race! People will be prejudice against clones, just as we are prejudice against other races. There are also problems with identity issues. I don't like that we will be able to remove the reproductive system altogether and genetically engineer what our children will be like. ("I want him to like mowing grass, I want him to have an IQ of 175, and I want him to eat his vegetables" etc.) Sure, it's really cool that we can do this, but I don't think we should actually do it. I don't mind that we do sheep and stuff. That's fine. I also support the cloning of human organs for transplant reasons. However, when it comes to creating another human being, a whole person with a mind and a will, we should ask ourselves how deep the hole really goes and whether or not we want to throw away our shovels now before it's too late.
