My mom used to go exercising in the afternoons when my sister and I were very young, she was 3 and I was 5. Well, for some reason, the water in mom's water bottle just tasted so much better than regular water, and so we would wait at home and fight over who got to drink it. Well, one day, Mom came home when I was still half asleep, so I didn't even bother getting up to claim the "special water" for myself. However, I did watch Lindsay run for it like a madwoman, right into the low coffee table's corner. She had hit her front tooth on it. She wouldn't eat at dinner and then she whimpered all night (which wasn't much fun for me because at the time we shared a bed). The next day, when she still refused to eat, Mom and Dad took the both of us to the dentist to see what could be done about it. He said the only thing to do was to pull it. So, my sister got a tiny little treasure chest thing and a toy, and she got to lose her first tooth at age 3, which is 4 years before my first tooth was even loose. Fortunately though, this hole in her mouth is helpful in telling us apart in pictures sometimes... we used to have quite a resemblance.
