It was over
I had determined
I wanted to leave

I spoke to you the words
"I don't love you anymore"
Why was I saying this
To the man I adore

I could tell your heart
was beginning to race

The despaired look on your face

When I told you I no longer

You looked at me sadly
These words you spoke
"Without you and our kids
I have no life !"

You made me think twice

All I could reply with

"I don't know!"

As you packed your things
Willing to leave
Not wanting to fight
I said "Just hold me"

You walked over
