6.2    THE EXPERIMENT AT VERY SMALL VELOCITIES

We introduced at the beginning of this text a modification in the De Broglie formula.

The corrected De Broglie formula is:          λ = h/mf(vA)

where vA is the absolute velocity of the particle measured in the absolute referential RA.

The theoretical conditions we found this function must satisfy are:

f(0) ≠ 0

f(vA) ≈ vA   for high velocities

f(c) = c

The next graphic shows an intuitive first approximation for the function:

It is proposed that the function can be obtained experimentally through the Davisson-Germer experiment at very slow velocities.
