The standard driving test now comes in three parts, the practical driving test (on the road),
The theory test (multiple choice questions) and the new hazard perception test.
You can take a dummy theory test on the DSA web site on the links pages, this test will ask you
thirty-five question of which you will need to answer thirty correctly to pass the exam. You can
also book this exam from the DSA web site.
The new hazard perception test is the new part of the exam that you will be required to pass,
both the theory test and the hazards perception test need to be passed before you can book
you practical test.
The hazard perception consists of 15 video clips of different driving situations, you will have to
observe different hazards on each of these clips (usually on a touch screen PC). You will then
be marked on how many of these hazards you have sucessfully observed and how quickly you notice them.
I can take you through both of these tests on a PC as part of your lessons, or on a seperate occassion.
