Lyrics of and My Thoughts on "Tuesday's Gone"

(comments in italics)

Oh my God, it's a waltz!  This beautiful ballad in triple meter features some bittersweet guitar solos and even a string section.  It opens with some pretty lead guitar, then Ronnie:

Train roll on, on down the line
Won't you please take me far away.
Now feel the wind blow, outside my door
Mean's I'm leaving my woman at home.

Chorus:
Tuesday's gone with the wind.
My baby's gone with the wind.

Lead guitar from earlier repeats, then verse two:

And I don't know, oh where I'm going
I just wanna be left alone.
Well when this train ends, I'll try again.
I'm leaving my woman at home.

Chorus twice, then a long instrumental interude with guitar, piano, and strings.

Now train roll on, many miles from my home
I'm riding my blues away.
Now Tuesday you see, she had to be free.
But somehow I've got to carry on.

Chorus twice, then a guitar solo and Ronnie improvising as the song fades.
