The Humor of My Geography Professor

My Introduction to Human Geography professor is from somewhere in Eastern Europe, probably Russia but I can't be sure yet.  Anyway, whether he tries to be funny or not he is a constant source of humorous comments.  Some of them are great pieces of advice IMHO.  Here is a sample, which should grow throughout the semester:

Here is an equal-area projection map.  As you can see, it looks like a bunch of underwear hanging from a clothesline.  Bad underwear at that.

There is not much precipitation in Siberia but the temperature inversion there keeps the snow from melting.  It's always the same damn snow.

Don't smoke; you will die early.  Oh and incidentally, it will make you impotent.

Don't mess with liberated Icelandic females.
