天地（三）
1 In tour around the country side, Yellow Emperor lost his valuable black pearl. He couldn’t find it after searching everywhere possible.
黃帝出外遊玩，在路上將他的寶貝玄珠給遺失了，遍尋不著;
黃帝遊乎赤水之北，登乎崑崙之丘而南望，還歸，遺其玄珠。
2 He sent Zhi, Lizhu, Chigou one after another to look for it. But still no one of them could find it.
他先後派遣知、離朱、喫詬等三人前去尋找，結果都無功而返。
3 Zhi was regarded as the wisest man in the country; Lizhu was remarkable for his super sight; Chigou was well known for his eloquence. After all of them failed, Yellow Emperor sent Xiangwang, the god of addlepated to look for. To Yellow Emperor’s surprise, Xiangwang found it at last.
知是號稱天下最聰明的智者，離朱則以眼力超強著稱，喫詬以辯才無礙聞名天下。這三人都找不到，最後黃帝派糊塗神象罔去找。沒想到居然被他找回來了。
使知索之而不得，使離朱索之而不得，使喫詬索之而不得也。乃使象罔，象罔得之。
4 Xiangwang was famous for his muddiness and been called by his country people the god of addlepated. This time he took the great credit. Yellow Emperor was surprised, he said:“To my surprise, Xiangwang is able to accomplish this impossible mission.”
象罔平時做事漫不經心，所以鄉人給他一個綽號叫“糊塗神”，這回居然讓他立下奇功。黃帝也覺得奇怪。他說：「怪了，象罔怎麼能夠完成這項幾乎不可能的任務？」
黃帝曰：「異哉，象罔乃可以得之乎？」
