 道德經演義(六十二)

 

 Tao is the mysterious secret of the universe, the good mans treasure, and the bad mans refuge.

 道者萬物之奧,善人之寶,不善人之所保

 Beautiful sayings can be sold at the market; noble conduct can be presented as a gift.

 美言可以市尊,美行可以加人。

 Though there are bad people, why reject them?

 人之不善,何棄之有?

 Therefore on the crowning of an emperor, on the appointment of the three Ministers, rather than send tributes of jade and teams of four horses, send in the tribute of Tao.

 故立天子,置三公,雖有拱以先馬,不如坐進此道。

 Wherein did the ancients prize this Tao?

 古之所以貴此道者何?

 Did they not say, “to search for the guilty ones and pardon them”.

 曰: 求以得,有罪以免耶,

 Therefore is Tao the treasure of the world.

 故為天下貴。

咸池評述道德經演義(六十二)a。62


1 Tao is the foundation of universal structure. Without Tao, without Qi, Kundanili, essence, refinement, all creatures can’t live and thrive.

 道是宇宙萬物架構之根本。沒有道,沒有氣、挫火、精、妙用,萬物是沒有辦法形成、繁衍、存活的。

2 Now that Tao is the basic element, thus, all creature, including good man, bad man, common man, lion, tiger, insect and germ, can’t leave it. For this reason, in consignation with creature, Tao, Qi, kundanili, essence and refinement don’t choose the good one or the bad one, they consign with all of them.

 既然道是萬物構成的基本要素之。所以好人,壞人,好不壞的人,獅子,老虎,蚊蟲,細菌都少不了的成分。道、氣、挫火、精、妙用在與萬物配合上是不會選擇善與不善的。

3 Buddhism stresses equality and indiscrimination. Tao is thought as the mysterious secret of the universe, which contains steady and unwavering meaning. Let’s extend its connotation to a deeper level—religious level. Namely, God never gives up anyone.

 佛家講平等心、無分別心; 道者萬物之奧這句話裡,更具有其真實不移的意義。如果將引申到更深一層的宗教意涵上面來看的話,那麼我們就可以更加肯定的說: 上帝從來是不會捨棄任何人的。

4 Laotse said, “To search for the guilty ones and pardon them” We should take special care of those who are sinful. We should find, cure them and absolve their sin.

 老子說:求以得,有罪以免耶。我們應該去特別照顧那些有罪的人,將他們找出來,為他們療傷止痛,同時赦免他們的罪。

5 Laotse said, “Though there are bad people, why reject them?” How can we give up the sinful without saving? Since they are bad and feel ill and painful, we should take more care of them. How can they be sentenced to go hell for more suffering?  

 老子又說,人之不善,何棄之有。我們怎麼能輕易放棄那些有罪之人呢?就是因為他們不善,他們心中有病、有痛苦,我們更應該對之特別照顧才是; 我們又怎能將之打入地獄之中,讓他們去承受更多的苦楚呢? 

6 Albert Einstein expressed his view: “If we are children of God, no parent send the naughty children or children who made mistakes to hell for the terrible suffering”.

 愛因斯坦曾經表示,如果我們是上帝的子女,那麼,哪有父母會將頑皮的孩子、不聽話的孩子、做錯事的孩子送進地獄去挨受那種駭人聽聞之苦的道理。

7 In order to go to heaven or not to go to hell after death, and the possible retribution of goodness and evilness, we restrict our activities all our life. Aren’t we silly, if not so?

 為著天堂、地獄、善與不善等的報應,因而限制自己一生的活動,如果不是那麼一回事,那麼,這樣的活法豈不是太冤枉了嗎?

8 Tao Yuanming, a poet of East Jin Dynasty, stated this viewpoint in his work Interpretation of Spirit:  “If I always trying to do well in my life, and hope someone would honor my name. Such consideration would restrict my activities and hurt me, it’s best to resign to the nature’s ways”. If you always keep so strict religious regulation in your mind, Tao Yuanming said that you would be hurt and lose most joy in your life. Is it worth? Hence, he deemed that: “to ride on the billows of Cosmic Flux, without joy, without fear; when it must end, let it end; there is no need to worry or grieve”.

 陶淵明在神釋一文中說, "立善常所欲,誰當為汝譽甚念傷吾生,正宜委運"。如果我們將那些嚴格的宗教戒律天天放在心上,念茲在茲; 陶淵明覺得,這樣是會傷及吾生,並且使得一生的樂趣都為之喪失大半的。因此,這樣做是否划得來呢?所以陶淵明主張 "縱浪大化中,不喜亦不懼。應盡便須盡,無復獨多"

9 Yogi is better than Tao Yuanming in this regard, because he practices supreme yoga every day. Qi, kundalini, Tao and refinement in supreme yoga never loathe the stain-ridden “attachment”. They play with him every day, offering health and wisdom to him. In yogi’s extrication, if Qi, kundalini, Tao and refinement are a part of universe, Qi etc., namely Yogi’s soul naturally will take care of himself. Qi, kundalini, Tao and refinement can not only answer for his death, but also they take care of yogi in this life, offer the best to him. Despite of his stain or infringement of regulation, they never betray him. 

 瑜伽行者比陶淵明還要強些,因為他每天練無上瑜伽功,無上瑜伽的氣、挫火、道、妙用從來也不會嫌棄這個充滿污點的“依附”,整天都在跟他遊戲,並且給與他健康、智慧。如果說氣、挫火、道、妙用是天地的部份,那麼當行者解脫之時,有氣、挫火、道、妙用的關照,行者的靈魂也就是氣本身,自然會照顧自己。往生的事,氣自己負責; 今生的事,氣、挫火等又確確實實地在照顧行者,讓他擁有最好的。不論他是否有一些污點或所謂不守戒律,氣、挫火、道、妙用都從不背棄。

10 As Su Dongpo, a litterateur of North Song Dynasty said, “Now I set a fire, burning out the good and the evil; there is no labor to do, nor bandit to fear”. A man, he burned out all worldly moral criteria and the regulations of religions and then he would become a really free yogi like a celestial resident.

 蘇東坡說的好,“如今一弄火,好惡都去。既無負載,又無寇。將世俗的道德標準、宗教戒律等都統統燒掉,讓自己成為一位真正自由自在的瑜伽行者,而到達了那樣的情境,就快樂似神仙了。
