Super Nachos

Ingredients:

1lb lean ground beef

1 large onion, chopped

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp ground cumin

2 cans refried beans( 16 oz each)

1 package taco seasoning( 1 1/4 oz)

2 cups Monterey Jack cheese

1 can ( 4-oz) diced green chilies

1 cup grated cheddar cheese

1 cup taco sauce

tortilla chips

Garnish with any of the following:

1 cup guacamole

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup chopped green onions

1 cup sliced ripe olives

Directions: Brown the meat and the onions; drain well and season with salt and cumin; blend well. Add grated Monterey jack; mix together. Spread the beans in shallow, oval 10x15 baking dish. Cover with the browned meat and onions. Sprinkle chilies over the meat; top with cheddar cheese. Pour taco sauce over the cheese.( May be made ahead and refrigerated at this point but do not freeze). Bake uncovered, at 400 degrees fo4 20 to 25 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Tuck tortilla chips around the edge of the platter and garnish as desired.
