Title: The Way to the Mapuche Cave Painting
I made this painting in Villa Traful, Patagonia, Argentina in Dec 2003. The day prior, we had taken a boat across Lago Traful, hiked through the woods and over hills, fished for a while at both the Laguna Blanco and Laguna Verde (we had lake trout for lunch), and then El Russo led us to the Mapuche cave paintings. They were about 600 years old and made references to the domestication of animals. I was enthralled.
