The Worm Got Lost

I gave you everything

And now I am dry

Whilst you a bird

Bask upon a rock

In that sunlit forest

We had together at

once walked through

Take me back

Where I too could swim

And sing a melody

That to me sang so true

Where am I now

Except drifting

Squirming alone

Aloof - Where I am

Here and where now

Are you?

Hear the ringing

I know you speak still

Because the sycamore  

I live beneath skreeks

And let them notes

Be kind to me

Because I gave you

All – I swear  

I ceded everything

That had once

For a solitary bug  

Seemed so real
