Dress for lessons
Of course everyone must wear an
approved hard hat. In addition, everyone must wear riding pants, riding boots
and clean shirts with sleeves and without holes and inappropriate pictures or
words. Riding hats, pants, boots and shirts with sleeves are all a safety
issue. They protect the skin from saddle sores, and from scrapes should a fall
occur. Riding boots protect the foot if stepped on and are less likely to slip
through the stirrup and get caught. In addition, children should ride in
clothes like the clothes they will compete in. Chaps stick to saddles better
than jodhpurs. Riding in Chaps will not help children develop a tight leg.
Finally, showing up at a lesson dressed in chaps, jeans or shorts is an insult
to the instructor and a poor representation of our club. The way you dress
shows your seriousness about learning and your respect for the instructor.
Please make this a personal goal.

Courtesy Counts! - a message from your DC
In our jam packed schedules, we
should always remember that courtesy and good manners make life pleasanter for
all of us.We ask our members and parents to please keep this in mind at all
times, whether it is a phone call to say you cannot make a meeting or a lesson,
or dressing appropriately for lessons, or saying thank you to your instructors,
or going out of you way to help another member when they need it, please, keep
up the good work. Remember a smile and a thank you are your most attrative
qualities.
