Synopsis
The Master Programmer is intercepting Mark's e-mails to Pete. He inserts a disc with 'Kilobyte' written on it into his computer. A new game character comes out of the ferris wheel and Duff assumes that he's looking for Lord Fear. The character introduces himself as Kilobyte, the Cyber-Stalker, and says that he's no friend of Fear's.
Mark's parents are going out and they have arranged for Felicity to babysit him. Mark isn't very happy about that at all as he thinks he's too old for a babysitter. Mark's dad informs him that he's not allowed to have any parties while they're gone. Meanwhile, at the Computer Shack, Rick is answering the phone and Chuck is playing Ace Lightning. When Rick catches him, Chuck tries to lie his way out of it. Rick stops Chuck from going into his 'Fortress of Solitude' and tells him that no one is allowed in there. He sends Chuck to make a delivery.
Mark is playing basketball on his driveway when Kat walks past with her dog. Mark joins her on her walk. Kat is still determined to leave but Mark tries to convince her that Conestoga Hills isn't all that bad. Felicity watches them leave and gets back to her Amulet hunting.
Duff tells Lord Fear about Kilobyte. Staff Head thinks he's been watching too many horror movies. Chuck drives up in the van and sees Duff arguing with Lord Fear. Rotgut gets his hand stuck in the passenger side window and Chuck throws up. Rotgut gets his hand free and Chuck hightails it out of there. Lord Fear chases Chuck in the ice-cream truck. Chuck rings Ace in a panic and Ace goes to help.
Felicity breaks a vase and finds an Amulet piece in the shards. Mark is still walking with Kat and invites her to his house to watch movies when he sees Chuck fly past with the ice-cream truck right behind him. He goes off to help Chuck, leaving Kat behind. Chuck hides in the house. Ace and Lord Fear fight. Lady Illusion's sneak attack leaves him hanging off Mark's roof. Mark shoots Lord Fear's hat off and the bad guys leave. Felicity runs out and asks what's going on. Mark tells her that they're just hanging out and she leaves to get soy milk. Chuck wants to go after Lord Fear but Mark and Ace agree that it's too dangerous. They tell Chuck to leave the fight to them and concentrate on getting Sparx back.
Lord Fear is playing golf when Lady Illusion appears and gives Lord Fear the piece of the Amulet that she stole. Lord Fear summons the Dirty Rat. Kilobyte thinks that Lord Fear is wasting his time playing mortals' games instead of destroying Ace Lightning.
Chuck is at the Shack working on the Ace game. He tries to make contact with Sparx but the Master Programmer foils his attempts. He gets a phone call from who he thinks is Mark, but is actually Lady Illusion. She tells Chuck to come to the Carnival. Chuck, happy to get a chance to finally fight, agrees to go.
Mark asks Felicity what she's making and she tells him that she's making earth cookies. Brett and Heather arrive with dvds. Ashley turns up right after they do and isn't very happy with Heather at all. She says that Heather practically invited herself when she heard that Kat was going over to Mark's. Chuck arrives at the Carnival and runs into the Haunted House to escape from Rotgut. Heather mentions Samantha and Kat asks Mark about her. Mark is saved from having to answer by the doorbell and Heather says that she invited some people over. Chuck is cornered in the Haunted House by Lord Fear and attempts to call Mark.
Mark tries to explain to Kat about Samantha but Heather interrupts and hands him his mobile which is ringing. Mark answers the call and hears Lord Fear's voice. He realizes what happened. Rotgut's arrival distracts Lord Fear long enough for Chuck to get out of there. Ace meets Chuck outside and tells him that Mark called and asked him to help Chuck. Anvil and Ace battle.
At the party Wayne accepts a cookie from Felicity and tells her that it tastes like dirt. Felicity is highly offended and throws Wayne across the room. Kat tells her that she can't just throw kids across the room and they stare each other down. Mark's dad walks in and everyone except Kat, Felicity and Mark leave.
Chuck tells Ace to use his upgrades and Ace takes out Anvil with his new weapon. Chuck tells him that he's on a new level of the game and he has a ton of new upgrades. Ace realizes that they might have underestimated Chuck. Ace asks where Mark is and Chuck says that he tried calling him and he hopes he's not in trouble.
Mark is, in fact, in a lot of trouble. His parents are not happy at all about the party and Felicity only makes things worse. Mark has realized that something is up with Felicity and tries to tell them that but they don't listen. Felicity blames the broken vase on Kat. Mark knows now that Felicity is stealing his pieces of the Amulet and is on his guard.
