Synopsis
In the carnival the Rat finds another piece of the Amulet and takes it to Lord Fear. Lord Fear joins it with his piece of the Amulet and summons the Googler from the Sixth Dimension. The Googler is a jester that has two puppets attached to his hands called Zip and Snip. He can turn into a spiked ball and roll over his enemies.
Sam tries to teach Mark how to bat. Chuck interrupts and Mark asks where he got hsi ice-cream from. Chuck tells him that there's an ice-cream truck parked up by the woods. While Mark is getting the ice-creams, Chuck tells Sam about the coolest tree fort in Conestoga Hills. He convinces her to come and see it.
Mark sees Duff's ice-cream truck and is attacked by Anvil. Ace saves him but the Googler arrives. Snip latches onto Ace's arm and Ace throws him off. The Googler leaves and Ace goes back to the Thunder Tower to power up. Mark looks for Sam and Chuck, who are heading into the woods.
Sam climbs up into the tree house. Ace tries to recharge at the Thunder Tower but is unable to. The only conclusion he can come to is that he is now mortal. He has lost his superpowers.
When Chuck tries to climb up to the tree house, the ladder breaks, leaving Sam stranded. Chuck panics and they both start yelling for help.
Ace meets up with Mark disguised in clothes he found at the Thunder Tower. He tells Mark that he has lost his superpowers and believes the Googler to be responsible. Ace thinks he's not much of a friend without superpowers and Mark disagrees but fails to convince Ace. Ace tells Mark that Lightning Knights aren't friends, they're superheroes. Mark hears Sam and Chuck yelling for help and goes to help.
Mark asks Ace to save Sam and he tells Mark that he can't because he doesn't have any superpowers. Mark says that he doesn't need superpowers to save someone and proves it by climbing up to Sam with a rope so that they can get back down.
The Rat lures Ace away from Mark. Mark goes off to look for Ace and is captured by the Googler. Ace sees the ice-cream truck go by and realizes what has happened to Mark. He hitches a ride to the carnival.
Mark awakes to find himself in a dunking booth. Wayne threatens to dunk him. Zip and Snip are waiting below amoung the coloured balls to attack Mark if he is dunked. Ace finds the Googler and Rat and tells them that they're torturing his friend. The Googler doesn't know what a friend is and asks Ace. As Ace describes what a friend is his powers come back. Wayne's third ball hits the target and Mark is dropped into the coloured balls.
Ace starts zapping the Googler and Rat. A fragment of lightning hits the tank and Mark, Zip, Snip and the coloured balls come tumbling out. He meets up with Chuck and Sam who head off for ice-cream. The Rat and Googler flee from Ace.
Lord Fear is still determined to get his revenge on Ace.
