Greetings All,

The Masquerade is almost upon us and I would like to take the opportunity to let everyone know that this event is not ONLY about dressing up nicely and dancing... There will be an entire day of fighting before hand to wet your whistle for the evenings fun.

We will be meeting at the park that morning (see the directions posted earlier for getting to the park) to fight, and we have a full day of fighting planned. We will have something for everyone - yes, even you ditch monkeys...

The day will start off with lots of ditching. I will be there early (probably around 9) to secure at least one of the covered areas for us for the day. The ditching will start as soon as we get enough people there to ditch. While that is going on, we will be laying out a boat battle.

The Boat Battle will be fought militia style - in other words, no magic. You can play your class, just no magic classes. There has been a lot of calls for this type of battle, so we are trying to accommodate everyone.

After the Boat Battle, there will be a three flag Tri-City battle. Three flags (with multiple colors) will be set up and each team will own one flag. At the top of the hill, will be a fourth flag that will be neutral. The idea of the game will be to get all three cities under your control. Once you are killed, you can come alive at any flag that is neutral or displaying your color. This is a shatter battle and there is a death count. The game is won by one team holding all three cities for ten minutes. This will be a full class battle game.

Time permitting, we will also have the Deathball at the field for a death ball game if there is interest. As is always true, there will be ditching before and after the regularly scheduled games.

So before you don your pretty garb and dance the night away, come out to the fighting field and show your fighting skills....

Avalon
On behalf of the Masquerade War Team

P.S. We are looking for a few more people that would be willing to reeve for us. If you are interested, please contact me at [email protected]
